Nursery Nurse

Little Jewels is a small and friendly Pre-school, situated close to Haringey Station. We pride ourselves on being child focus and are held in high regard by the local community.  We achieved a good level during the last OFSTED inspection and are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff who can deliver our commitment to good quality childcare.

You will be an excellent role model and support colleagues to perform to the best of their ability.  You will uphold the preschool values, and put each child’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

Specific Responsibilities are as follows:

  • To develop and promote the EYFS and ensure its delivery within the setting and that the principles aims are adhered to.
  • Ensuring all children activities are planned and the seven areas of learning are covered.
  • To supervise the development, preparation and execution of the daily lesson plans and ensure that each session runs smoothly and without repetition.
  • To check all reports, monthly programmes and activities as required.

Requirement

  • Level 3 in childcare and Development
  • Graduate qualified teacher or Level 4 or 5 (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a key person

·       Able to apply best practices and make evaluative judgements

·       Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

·       Passion, integrity and energy

Hours of work 08:00 – 18:00 (4 days per week)

Working with children between the ages 2 years to 4 years old

Pay: £27,000 to £28,000 depending on the qualification and experience
