Preschool Room Leader

We are looking for an inspiring leader to join our Preschool unit.

Our unit consists of 19 spaces for children aged 2-4 years old spread across 2 rooms. We are a small family feel nursery with parent partnership at the core of our values. The preschool room leader will be able to provide guidance and support to the preschool team, encouraging staff and children to be the best version of themselves. 

Beaming Stars Day Nursery is situated in a beautiul area in the village of Ash in Kent, we are open 50 weeks of the year and we have free onsite parking for staff and families. Driving is essential as the public transport links are rural, unless the candidate lives local and within walking distance.

Staff working hours are 40 hours per week and this can be over 4 days if the candidate requires.

We are a small team of 13 staff with 2 company directors/owners who are very hands on with the business.

We have an employee assistance programme, providing advice and support to our staff should they need it.

Staff Christmas parties are a good social event and we enable all staff to attend if they want to.

We encourage career progression through appraisals and development plans and provide online and face to face training, to build a knowledgeable, caring and nurturing team.

All staff are required to have an enhanced DBS certificate, which will need to regisgtered on the update service. ( We will undertake this as part of our safer recruitment process) and references will be sought for the last 5 years of employment - if applicable.

Duities include: Being a keyperson, monitoring the progress of the children, ensuring they are meeting milsestone expectations, building and maintaining positive parent partnerships, inspiring your team, providing high quality care and education, liaising with specialist professionals - SEND, being an active member in the nursery management team - to ensure the nursery grows and is sustainable (personal tours)
