We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Nursery
Assistant for our Toddlers room to join our team. The ideal candidate
will have a passion for working with children and a strong
understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery
Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and
stimulating environment for children, supporting their development and
learning through engaging activities.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that
promote physical, emotional, and social development in children.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and
well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging them to express
themselves and develop their language skills.
- Support the lead nursery staff in managing the classroom
environment, maintaining cleanliness and organisation.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and
colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks related to children's
records and progress reports.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development
opportunities to enhance your skills in childcare.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or
childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate
clear communication with children and parents.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site
activities or outings.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with children creatively and supportively.
