Job Description About the nursery Child First Welbeck is a unique, child centred outdoor nursery situated within the stunning grounds on the Welbeck Estate. Child First Welbeck is a beautiful, renovated chicken shed, with lots of character, surprises and a beautiful environment to grow. The 90 place nursery comprises of different spaces: These include Nestlings (babies), Hatchlings (1-2), Fledglings (2-3), Chicks (3-4) and Roosters (4-5) Children are able to cook on the fire pit, use real tools, create masterpieces in the outside art studio, or relax in a hammock. It is a totally child led environment, and our ethos is very unique and centred around learning through play.

About You, Your key responsibility will be to work successfully as part of a team with other practitioners and management to provide a high standard of emotional, social and intellectual care for all children at the nursery, whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.

Essential - The successful candidate will: Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification either Level 3 or equivalent Hold a relevant SEN qualification Have post qualifying experience with children ages 0-5 years old Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS Have an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Need a clear and valid DBS Be flexible with start and finishing times (opportunity for additional hours) Be a team-player who is enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to a career within childcare Be passionate about working in an outdoors environment Be professional and approachable Desirable - The successful candidate will: Be Forest School trained to think outside of the box and be a little quirky, Great sense of humour.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve: Contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children and the Early Years Framework. Understand key children’s culture, first language and current development plans to identify areas for improvement, working with colleagues to provide a stimulating environment for children to meet emotional, intellectual and social goals.

Maintaining accurate records of children’s development and use information learnt to support future planning, development and learning. Work in partnership with parents and other colleagues to ensure that the needs of the child are always met and parents have an involvement in the child’s learning journey.
