The preparation and completion of activities to suit each individual child's stage of development and interests

  • · To develop your role within the team especially as a key person
  • · To keep up to date observations and planning records for children
  • · To ensure that meal times are a time of pleasant social sharing
  • · Washing and changing children as required
  • · Ensuring a poorly child is kept calm and warm and management is notified
  • immediately in order for the child to be collected.
  • · To develop and maintain strong positive partnerships and communications with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs
  • · To provide detailed verbal feedback to parents about their child’s day
  • · To ensure parents are aware of any situations that have arisen during the day, which may involve their child
  • · To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history
  • · To supervise and assist all children with routines and activities

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 3 in childcare or working towards
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge
  • First aid desireable
