Located on Capstone Road in Gillingham, Prima Montessori Nursery is situated on the Elm Court Estate, offering ample parking spaces for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. Rated "Good" by Ofsted (July 2022), our nursery combines a Montessori-inspired approach to childcare with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) national curriculum to provide a well-rounded educational experience.

Our nursery is supported by a knowledgeable and experienced team, with our manager having been part of Prima Montessori for 21 years. This long-standing experience ensures a strong foundation in providing quality care and education for every child.

Our key focus is to prepare children for school by encouraging learning through play, all while offering the guidance and support of our warm and friendly team of childcare experts. At Prima Montessori, we care for children from birth to 5 years, ensuring they have a solid foundation for their educational journey in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Within this role you will be working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday and it will be essential for you to have a Level 3 Childcare Qualification. Salary £24,752 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

As Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 2/3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
