Located just off Richford Street, down the driveway of Richford Gate, Hammersmith Day Nursery & Preschool is conveniently situated seconds away from Hammersmith Grove. We offer easy access to the District and Piccadilly lines at Goldhawk Road and Hammersmith Broadway tube stations. With main bus stops nearby and the Westfield Shopping Centre within walking distance, our location is perfect for busy families.

Although there is no parking available outside, our position within a private development ensures a safe and secure environment for drop-offs and pick-ups.

Rated "Good" by Ofsted (May 2019), our nursery provides a warm and friendly welcome where children aged 3 months to 5 years can have fun, explore, and let their imaginations run wild. Situated on the ground floor of a modern development, we offer inspirational learning experiences both indoors and in our outdoor play area.

Parents love the daily updates and photos they receive, giving them a window into their child’s activities. Our long-standing team of Early Years practitioners provides a stable, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We strive to nurture, inspire, and care for every child in our care.

We are currently seeking a Room Leader to join our expanding team. This full-time role offers 40  hours per week, with varying shift patterns between 7.30am and 6.30pm. Our nursery operates year-round and is not a term-time only position. To apply, you’ll need a full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.

As Room Leader, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
  • Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
  • Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

As Room Leader, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential.
  • Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential.
  • Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable.
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential.
  • Have a QTS qualification - desirable.
