Nursery Manager Vacancy – First Steps Nursery

Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? First Steps Nursery is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to join our team and provide exceptional care and education for young children.

The Role:

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of early years professionals, ensuring high-quality childcare for a 60-place nursery, and maintaining a safe, happy, and enriching environment for children. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, support staff development, and build strong relationships with parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring a high standard of childcare and education
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and EYFS requirements
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Oversee staff training, development, and supervisions
  • Build strong relationships with parents and external agencies
  • Manage nursery recruitment and administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passionate about early childhood education and child development

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NNEB
  • BTEC National Diploma
  • NCFE
  • NVQ level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years or Childcare foundation degree or EYT status or equivalent
  • Paediatric first aid and a Satisfactory DBS check
  • Excellent IT skills
  • You will ideally have a Management/leadership qualification
