Nursery Chef

MRN is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to manage our busy nursery kitchen in Walthamstow, just 10 minutes walk from Highams Park Station and a 15 minute bus journey from Walthamstow Central Underground Station.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a commercial kitchen and cooking for large numbers of people and should have robust knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and allergy control guidelines and procedures as well as Safer Food Better Business.

Level 2/3 in Catering/Food Hygiene or a similar/equivalent qualification is preferred.

Salary - £19,000 to £22,000 dependent upon candidate.

Vacant Positions:

• Full Time (40 Hours a week), 7:30am - 4:30pm.

Scope of position:

• To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Liaise with Nursery Manager and ensure food orders are carried out and stock control is managed
• Ensure meals are served on time as per the nursery menu

Key Responsibilities lie in:

• Health, Safety and Hygiene of Kitchen
• Contribute to team effort of the nursery
