As an Early Years Professional your main tasks include:

  • Following policies and procedures and staying compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Tracking children's growth and working with the manager to plan their next steps.
  • Recording children's progress using Banana Moon App and involving parents in the process.
  • Offering personalised care and education to each child based on their needs.
  • Handling complaints professionally and reporting them to management.
  • Maintaining room ratios, attendance records, and room registers.
  • Conducting risk assessments and complying with Health and Safety policies.
  • Ensuring children’s safety and reporting any safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards and updating relevant documents.
  • Sharing your ideas and thoughts at staff meetings.
  • Assisting in the recruitment process and providing feedback on trial candidates.
  • Making new children's transitions smoother by communicating with parents and staff.
