If you are offered a Room Leader (Senior EYP) role, you will receive a £500 recruitment bonus after successfully completing your 3 month probation period

We are looking for an inspirational Room Leader to join our  Acorn Nursery at our Emberton Nursery in Emberton, Milton Keynes.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern between 7:15am - 6.15pm Monday to Friday, all year round.

We are located in what was the old school in the lovely village of Emberton, near Olney. We have adapted the building to younger children and added our Acorn touch, whilst retaining the character of the original architecture. We have developed the expansive outside area into an outdoor learning centre, which we offer a nature kindergarten during term-time for 3-4 year olds, and an outdoor playscheme in school holidays, for school aged children.

At Acorn, we are more than just a nursery, we have recently been awarded a Top 20 DayNurseries group award, with over 35 years of experience in delivering outstanding early years education.  As a not-for-profit organisation, we put children first, creating a nurturing environment where they can thrive, and where our team members are valued and supported in their professional development.

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care and learning experiences. You will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and enabling environment that encourages children to explore, discover and develop a love for learning. Working closely with parents and carers, you will help build strong relationships to support each child's individual needs.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 6 or gradual-level qualification would be desirable). You will have experience of working in an Early Years setting, a good knowledge of the EYTS framework and safeguarding procedures and a genuine enthusiasm for outdoor learning and creative play. Previous experience of leading a room or mentoring a team is desirable, as this role includes supporting and motivating colleagues and occasionally deputising for the management team.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, enhanced pension contributions, excellent training and career progression opportunities and 65% childcare discount.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career and be part of an organisation that values innovation, growth, and child-led learning, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and become part of the Acorn family.

Successful applicants must be able to provide ‘right to work in the UK’ documentation, provide two satisfactory references and undertake an enhanced DBS check prior commencing employment.
