Nursery Manager

Salary: £32,000 per annum, plus up to £7,500 annual profit share

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (over 4 Days)

We are a small, family-owned nursery located in the heart of Banbury, committed to
providing high-quality childcare in a warm, supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team and continue fostering an enriching learning experience for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant running of the setting.
• Lead and inspire a team of childcare professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration, positivity, and development.
• Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the needs of
• individual children, in line with EYFS standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents, families, and the local community,
• ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
• Manage budgets effectively, including fee collection and monitoring expenses,
• while striving to maximize profitability.
• Ensure the nursery complies with all relevant statutory requirements, including
• safeguarding, health and safety and Ofsted regulations.
• Actively monitor staff performance and development, conducting appraisals and
• providing training opportunities as needed.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment that supports
• children’s growth and development.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified childcare professional with a Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years or Childcare.
• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a nursery or early years setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and
• Ofsted regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage
• confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Strong organizational skills and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets.
• A genuine passion for childcare and creating a nurturing environment for children to thrive.
