Nursery Practitioner Level 3

Room: Climbers 3-5 Years 

Salary: £13.26 Per Annum

Full Time - 30 hours per week. 

At Dulwich Day Nursery & Preschool, we provide a home-from-home environment, located on Perry Hill with great bus links from Catford & Catford Bridge Stations and just a 17-minute walk from Bellingham Station. There’s also street parking available.

Our babies enjoy music, movement, and baby yoga, while our 2-3 and preschool children explore enriching activities like Spanish, science, show and tell, and cooking to boost creativity and language skills.

As a nursery practitioner, you’ll support the children’s growth and development in this secure, caring environment. We offer ongoing training, mentorship, and one-on-one support to help you reach your career goals, whether you're aspiring to be a Room Leader or looking to enhance your skills.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine.
• Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
• Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent.
• Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
• Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
