Nursery Practitioner

42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, All year round

Salary - £25,282.40 per annum

Cherrylands Nursery is located in the picturesque grounds of Weybridge, just near Brooklands Business Park. With excellent public transport links and a spacious car park, our nursery offers a convenient and accessible location for commuters. Our intimate and unique setting provides a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive. Nestled in a beautiful rural area, the nursery gives children ample opportunities to engage with the outdoors. We feature a large outdoor play area, complete with a climbing frame, as well as a dedicated baby garden, allowing children to explore and play in a safe, stimulating environment.

We are currently seeking a NurseryPractitoner Level 2  to join our expanding team. This full-time role offers 42.5 hours per week, with varying shift patterns between 8am and 6pm. Our nursery operates year-round and is not a term-time only position. To apply, you’ll need a full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. The salary for this position is £25,282.40 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.

As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

As Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
