We have an Ofsted rated Outstanding and provide care for children from 3 months – 5 years with a sperate activity room and soft play room on site. We have long standing staff with the manager being with the company for 14 years. Each of our rooms has a garden which is for their age group, and we have a car park on site as well as being local to Epsom train station.

Located in the heart of Epsom, Surrey, CherryField Nursery is a dedicated day nursery and preschool that provides exceptional care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We offer a bright, welcoming space where children can learn, explore, and grow in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Our practitioners hold various childcare qualifications, and are trained in areas such as First Aid, Safeguarding, and Managing Children’s Behaviour, ensuring that every aspect of your child’s development is supported and cared for with professionalism and expertise.

As part of the Cherry Childcare Day Nursery & Pre-school group, which was founded in 1993, CherryField Nursery is committed to delivering outstanding daycare and early years education. Through our dedicated educators, ongoing training, and excellent facilities, we strive to achieve the best learning outcomes for every child.

This role is working 42.5 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:15am-18:30pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
  • Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
  • Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
  • Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
  • Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
