We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Deputy Manager to join our nursery team at Ray Lodge, IG8 7PG.

The Role

We are looking for a full-time Deputy Managerworking Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day/40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Ray Lodge is open between the hours of 7.45am-6pm

Key Duties

As a Deputy Manager your responsibilities are…

·  Supporting the manager and team

·  Leading staff and teams

·  Building relationships with key children and their families

·  Provide a stimulating learning environment

·  Record and promote development

·  Ensuring the well-being and safety of the children

·  Support daily routines

·  Follow policies and procedures

·  Maintain confidentiality

·  Safeguard the children from harm

Requirements

The successful applicant will need to have…

·  Level 3 qualification

·  Management experience: 1 year+

·  Strong leadership skills

·  Works well in a team

·  Great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)

·  Strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning

·  Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

·  Excellent organisation skills and time-management
