We are looking for a number of qualified Nursery Practitioners (Level 3), for our well-established family-run nursery in Pilrig, Edinburgh.

At Pilrig Nursery, we are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where we bring out the best in our children to create a much stronger and confident child ready to face the world. Our spacious and sunny playrooms open out on to a large garden enabling smooth free-flow indoors and outdoors play for children of all ages.

As Nursery Practitioner, you’ll contribute to room planning which will include setting up the room for the day ahead, preparing creative and learning activities for the children, interacting effectively with them and liaising professionally with parents and colleagues. You’ll also supervise indoor and outdoor play activities and supervise snack and meal times.

So, if you’re an experienced Nursery Practitioner either with an SVQ/HNC in childcare or a BA degree qualification in early years education, this is a great opportunity to develop yourself professionally in an environment that nurtures staff including a thorough induction programme and ongoing training.

In return, you can expect an industry-leading salary, plus excellent benefits including:

  • Disclosure Scotland applications and renewals paid for by us
  • Unlimited development and training opportunities provided and paid for by us
  • Discounted childcare
  • Continuous 1-1 support and supervision sessions
  • Company pension
  • 4 day working week
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits provided for break times
