Nursery Lunch Time Assistant

20 hours per week , 11am - 3pm, Monday - Friday 

Salary ranging from £10.00 - £12.21 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

The Carshalton Day Nursery & Pre School are looking for a Nursery Lunch Time Assistant to join the team and support the practitioners with the children's daily routines across the lunch period. The Carshalton Day Nursery & Pre School we pride ourselves on putting the children at the heart of our team and living in the moment whilst following the interests of the children. A Level 2/ Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable and experience of working with children is essential.

Main responsibilities as Nursery Lunch Time Assistant include:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
• Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
• Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Lunch Time Assistant:

• Full and Relevant Level 2 / Level 3 Childcare Qualification - desirable
• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
• Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
• Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
