Immanuels Day Nursery are currently looking for a Deputy Manager. This is a great opportunity for a passionate Senior Early Years Practitioner or experienced Manager to Join our Nursery.

We are based in South Croydon, Surrey, for children from 3 months to 5 years, we are a medium sized nursery, which provides a broad and balanced play & learning environment. 

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is passionate, supportive, hardworking and able to progress our nursery forward. 

You will already have some experience of managing staff in a Nursery room and understand the busy nursery environment and enjoy those challenges. You must have a professional work ethic, be hard working whilst maintaining appropriately friendly relationships, and possess the ability to emotionally engage the staff team.

As our deputy manager you will be leading an excellent team of practitioners, you will have autonomy to progress the nursery and be instrumental in creating a high quality setting where all children can thrive.

Our opening hours are 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on all Bank Holidays, and 1 week over Christmas.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • • Full and relevant Level 5 Childcare qualification (NVQ5
  • EYTS
  • QTS
  • B.ed or above). Alternatively
  • you will have more experience and a L3 qualification.
  • • Have a minimum 5 years post qualification experience within a childcare setting
  • • Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years
  • • Experience of working in a Management role
  • mentoring and leading staff • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
  • • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities • Ability to deliver a high standard of childcare • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work productively with pupils
