About the Nursery

Tops Mini Mariners Nursery is a 36  place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Mini Mariners, Taunton. The nursery run several extra-curricular activities including Cooking school, Boogie Mites, Yoga, Toothbrushing, Football fun and much more!

What does the role involve?

  • Helping with feeding, changing diapers, and assisting children with toilet training.
  • Supporting nursery practitioners in planning and leading educational or play activities. This includes helping children engage in play, art, crafts, and other activities that aid in their development.
  • Keeping play areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Keeping an eye on children during activities, free play, and outdoor time to ensure their safety.
  • Helping support children's learning by engaging them in conversations, reading stories, and encouraging social interaction.
  • Assisting nursery staff in keeping records of the children's progress, attendance, or activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, to engage with the children and converse with other staff members and parents.
  • Creative skills and imagination to provide educational activities to children that can ensure the child is happy and learning in a rewarding environment.
  • Positive outlook, to keep children happy and build an environment where children feel secure and rewarded.
