We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full time Early Years Educator to join our team. and lead our 16 place Toddler Room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social skills.

Usual hours of work will be over 4 days between Monday - Friday 7.30-6pm

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's needs.
  • Manage behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and any concerns that may arise.
  • Promote children's well-being, health, and safety within the nursery setting.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a childcare or early years setting is essential.
  • A recognised qualification to level 3 or above in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively.
  • A genuine passion for nurturing young minds and fostering their development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education practices.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification
  • Forest School Leader Qualification desirable
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of Child Development
  • Knowledge of the EYFS / Birth to Five
  • Familiar with Tapestry
