Early Years Practitioner (Qualified – Level 2 or 3)

Location: High Wycombe

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Salary: £12.00–£16.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

What you’ll be doing

As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll:

• Create engaging learning opportunities that support each child’s development and curiosity

• Be a key person for a small group of children, forming strong, trusting relationships with them and their families

• Observe and plan using the EYFS, supporting every child’s individual journey

• Work closely with your team to maintain a calm, welcoming, and well-organised environment

• Contribute ideas and reflect on daily practice to continuously improve the experiences we offer

Who we’re looking for

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification

• Experience working with children aged 0–5 years

• Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding

• A kind, calm and proactive team player

• Someone who thrives in a natural, hands-on environment and can bring fun to learning every day

Our nursery

Sunshine Montessori is an established, family-run nursery located in High Wycombe. Known for our warm and inclusive atmosphere, we provide a Montessori-inspired approach with plenty of opportunity for outdoor exploration. Our children benefit from access to Forest School, an on-site allotment, and an environment that encourages independence, kindness and creativity.

What success looks like in this role

You’ll be a caring and consistent presence for your key children, helping them grow in confidence, language and independence. You’ll bring joy and energy to the classroom, support your team, and share ideas that help us continue delivering excellent early years care.

Additional Info

All successful applicants will be required to provide two satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
