Meadow View Day Nursery make hospital donation

Children and staff from Meadow View Day Nursery in Newport Pagnell have embraced the season of goodwill with a visit to Bedford Hospital’s ‘Riverbank Ward’ to spread festive cheer to sick children and their families.

Pre-schoolers from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Westbury Lane have gifted nearly 40 presents after an appeal to parents and staff for donations to support children who may sadly be spending Christmas Day away from home.

Meadow View Day Nursery Manager, Elkie Taylor said;

“We’ve had such a great response regarding donations and the hospital staff were so grateful. The amazing generosity of the parents in this way also sets an amazing example to the children about the importance of giving back.”

“Christmas is a magical time, but can also be extremely tough in these circumstances. We were really keen to make a gesture to ensure the children in hospital knew we were thinking of them, and spread some joy”.
