Meadow View Day Nursery marks World Book Day

World Book Day festivities were well and truly underway at Meadow View Day Nursery in Newport Pagnell as delighted children and practitioners dressed up as their favourite storybook characters.

At the day nursery on Westbury Lane, each age-appropriate room selected a book to base their themed activities upon. From exploring animal sounds in relation to ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ to making crowns from ‘Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book’, children were immersed in their favourite stories.

Meadow View Day Nursery manager, Elkie Taylor said: “We have had a brilliant time exploring some of our favourite books, and this presented endless opportunities to be creative.

Storytelling is not only essential for capturing the imagination but building literary confidence too.”
