Devoted childcare professionals from Green Park Day Nursery in Reading have been celebrated by their proud managers as part of festivities for the fourth annual ‘National Nursery Practitioner Day’.
The occasion, which looks to honour the hard work and dedication of those in the Early Years sector, has been marked by colleagues from the award-winning Childbase Partnership setting on South Oak Way who enjoyed a team lunch, consisting of platters of sandwiches and sweet treats by way of appreciation.
From bidding farewell to another cohort of pre-schoolers as they transition to school, to raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK through a variety of fundraising initiatives including sponsored walks and head shaving, colleagues reflected upon their accomplishments from over the past year as part of the special day.
Green Park Day Nursery Manager, Mandy Cooper explained;
“We are keen to ensure our practitioners know how valued they are every day at work, and this event has provided a brilliant opportunity to celebrate our team who have worked so hard. We are hugely proud of the example they set to the children and the exceptional service they continue to provide to our nursery families.”
In addition to bonuses for employees working throughout lockdown and a tax-free Partnership Dividend payment of up to £1,000 each, the company have recently held a series of virtual wellbeing events, from awards ceremony with musical performances by ‘Scouting For Girls’, to virtual bingo nights and yoga sessions to maintain connections and boost morale.
National Nursery Practitioner Day is celebrated on 18th October 2021.
