There was cause for celebration at Westwood Day Nursery in Coventry as the team honoured their beloved Manager as she marked a milestone 20 years of service.
Having started at Childbase Partnership as an Apprentice back in 2005, devoted Lyndsey Matthews has spent two decades dedicated to shaping young lives at the employee-owned company, working her way up through the ranks and fulfilling a number of leadership roles, before becoming Manager of the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ setting on Westwood Way.
Over the years, Lyndsey has taken part in endless fundraising initiatives, ranging from summer fayres to ‘sleep rough’ nights, helping contribute to the 3.5 million plus figure raised by Childbase Partnership for charities including the British Heart Foundation, The Trussell Trust, Mind, CRUK and Alzheimer’s Society, as well as smaller community ventures.
In order to celebrate her incredible childcare career, Lyndsey was showered with gifts, cake, cards and flower bouquets from her adoring colleagues, as well as being taken for a celebration lunch by the Childbase Partnership Executive Team, in addition to receiving a bonus long-service payment and extra week of annual leave to mark the occasion.
Childbase Partnership Area Manager, Jo Hassan explained; “Lyndsey’s story is extraordinary, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Childbase family. Her passion and enthusiasm shines through in everything she does, and she continues to inspire all of us with her dedication to exceptional early years education. Lyndsey is truly an asset and we are delighted to be celebrating her amazing achievements.”
