Knowle Green Day Nursery practitioners take New York

Two colleagues from Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines were delighted to see the bright lights of New York after winning an all-expenses-paid holiday, courtesy of their company.

Having won the ‘trip of a lifetime’ as part of Childbase Partnership’s 35 year anniversary celebration in September, Nursery Practitioner; Larissa Vaughan chose colleague Abi Cole to take with her, where they enjoyed a jam-packed itinerary of sightseeing and activities.

From visiting world-famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, to strolling through the iconic Central Park and Times Square, the pair enjoyed all the city had to offer, before finishing their adventure at the International Toy Fair.

Knowle Green Day Nursery Practitioner, Larissa Vaughan explained;

“I was so emotional when I got the phone call to say I’d won, I couldn’t believe it. We had the best time in New York and it was an amazing experience to share together – visiting the toy fair also gave us lots of inspiration to bring back to nursery and share with the children.”

Other prizes in the giveaway included trips to Dubai, Edinburgh, Berlin and London, as well as cheese hampers, beauty boxes and more. During the anniversary month colleagues across the 44-nurseries and Head Office also raised a total of £36,600.00 for the British Heart Foundation, having taken part in a ‘35k Step Challenge’ for the worthy cause.
