Jo Hassan, Natalie Hudson, Barbara Mignott, Charisse Northwood and Alison Beard; who have a combined service of 125 years at Childbase Partnership
Celebrations were well underway at Highfield Day Nursery in Edgbaston as the childcare team marked the milestone long-service anniversaries of two of their beloved colleagues.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Highfield Road; colleagues honoured Nursery Practitioners; Charisse Northwood on 25 years at the setting and Barbara Mignott on 20 years, having both dedicated over two decades to shaping the lives of young children.
After joining as an Apprentice in 2000, Charisse quickly became a key member of the Highfield team, demonstrating commitment to her personal development which saw her crowned ‘Nursery Practitioner of the Year’ in 2013. During her time at the setting, she has also celebrated many personal milestones including getting married and having two sons.
Barbara became a member of the team in 2005, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her 15-year career at Birmingham Children's Hospital. Her kindness, expertise, and nurturing approach have made her a firm favourite among both children and parents.
In order to celebrate their incredible achievements, the pair were presented with cards, gifts and flower bouquets from their adoring colleagues, in addition to receiving bonus long-service payments and an extra-week of annual leave to mark the special occasion.
Childbase Partnership Area Manager, Jo Hassan explained;
"Charisse and Barbara are truly exceptional members of the team, and we are incredibly grateful for their passion and unwavering commitment. Their hard work and warmth have had a profound impact on so many, and this celebration is a reflection of the appreciation they have earned from their community. We feel extremely lucky to have them at Highfield.”
