Clever Cats

Next week in Clever Cats we will be celebrating St George’s Day, we will be looking at the story and creating dragons. We will also begin to talk about school and what to expect when going to school! We will be putting the uniform out in the dressing up area and looking at what schools we are going to! Our book of the week is ‘The Colour Monster Goes To School’ and our song of the week is ‘The Graduation Song’.

Clever Kittens

Next week in Clever Kittens we will be looking at St George’s Day, the Kittens will be making flags and reading a story sack. The Clever Kittens will also be going on a sound walk, listening to what they can hear and making note. The Clever Kittens will also start to get preschool ready, please remember to bring your children in shoes that they are able to do themselves as we are promoting independence! Our book of the week is 'George and The Dragon’ and our song of the week is ‘The Feelings Song’.

Ladybirds

Next week the Ladybirds are going to be exploring St George’s Day. The children are going to be extending their vocabulary and learning some new single and multisyllabic words such as ‘Shield’, ‘Knight’, ‘England’, ‘St George’, ‘Dragon’ and more. The children are also going to be exploring cause and effect as they create their own St George’s Day flag using a ball to roll and throw. 

Butterflies

Next week in the Butterflies, we are planning to celebrate St George’s Day and to support our physical development we will be turning our soft play into our very dragon, navigating space safely and using our whole body to move across the dragon. This will support overall strength and we will make the soft play dragon more difficult to manoeuvre as confidence grows!
