National Day Nurseries Association Winner 'Nursery of the Year - Central' 2017 - The Wendy House Day Nursery - Wythall

Recipient: The Wendy House Day Nursery - Wythall

Date: Friday 30 Jun 2017

The Wendy House Day Nursery is among the very best early years settings in the UK, scooping a top accolade at the National Day Nurseries Association Nursery Awards.

The nursery in Wythall, Birmingham won Central England Nursery of the Year, triumphing above scores of other entrants to win the prestigious title in June 2017.

The event was attended by the cream of the nursery sector and followed NDNA’s day-long annual conference.

The expert judging panel was impressed with the nursery’s inclusive and progressive attitude, highlighted through an abundance of open-ended resources, presence of a parent liaison officer and a vibrant and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

The Nursery of the Year category and overall awards were sponsored by Hope Education, a trusted provider of inspirational and innovative resources for early years

Commenting on the honour, Victoria Vann, Managing Director of The Wendy House, said, “Everyone at The Wendy House has made a contribution to this award and we are proud to be recognised by the NDNA. The award is particularly special because it was voted for by parents and it has made us even more determined to achieve the highest possible standards in early years child care.”

Families whose children attend nurseries also contributed to the judging process by voting for their setting, making the awards the true ‘parents’ choice’.
