For the nursery to achieve this award they have had to demonstrate the following;

They understand the benefits of gardening to children and young people
A person has been chosen to lead the gardening project/activity
An area has been identified for a gardening project/activity
They have planned the area and are looking at resources they might need
They understand hazards in the garden
They have built on their practical skills and can prepare areas ready for planting
They grow a simple range of fruits, vegetables and flowers
They encourage wildlife to the garden by providing homes and habitats
They re-use as many things as they can and understand composting
