View Full Details of Kindred Islington Nursery and Pre-schoolWonderful and loving staff. They make a lot of effort to have lots of engaging activities and keep the children learning and active (sports school, dance, drama, Spanish, animal displays, science, etc).
My daughter loves attending Kindred Islington. Every single member of staff are so lovely and friendly. Massive shout-out to a particular staff member who was with me whilst my girl was settling in. I had ultimate mum guilt but now I know it was the best decision to make. This staff member always has time to chat with me when I collect my daughter. My little girl's development has come on leaps and bounds thanks to all of the staff. Thank you to 6 staff members in particular and the rest of the team
This setting is an outstanding setting offering a vast variety of educational aspects for all children. My child has settled very well into the nursery. The staff are lovely as well as the forest school interactions. All activities are clearly planned and set out to establish key milestones for children. I am very pleased overall with the nursery and recommend this setting as a first choice. I am very happy with the nutritional menu encouraging children with healthy and sustainable food choices. The Nursery manager, deputy manager and all staff are very professional and incredibly good at establishing positive progression for all children. The yoga classes and football classes are hugely beneficial to my son and all children in the setting. Overall, great all-around setting! Thank you very much!
My daughter has attended Kindred Islington for about a year and a half, has grown through three rooms, and in that time the staff and level of care has exceeded all of my expectations. The staff really know all the children by name and the children know all the staff which means my child is never just with a 'key worker' and happily engages with everyone. Each room is an inviting, wholesome environment where adults and children engage with activities together. And oh the activities! My 2 year old attends dance, yoga, Montessori time, Spanish class and even Forest School to name but a few of what's on offer. Home cooked (!) meals and snacks are provided by an on-site chef, and she knows just how to hide maximum veggies and protein for growing toddlers - a rare find in Islington. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Kindred has been extremely supportive throughout the whole transition process of sending my son to the nursery. Even though it was a very nerve-racking, process for both me and my little one, the reassurance and constant updates from the nursery about my son, with pictures, what he's doing exactly, how much he has had to eat, etc. made the process so much easier and smoother for the both of us. Would definitely recommend the nursery for any family thinking of sending their little one here.
The staff are amazing they always greet me with a smile when I drop my grandson off to them. When I leave my grandson I know he's safe and well looked after. He learns new things every day in the nursery. The nursery always keeps us informed regarding my grandson. I'm happy that my grandson is part of the Kindred Islington Nursery they make us feel like we are part of their family. I want to say a big thank you all and well done keep up the good work.
I think the staff can make the difference and so far all of them have been great. They work hard closely to the kids as well as to the parents. It is a very good team work between families and school.
We've had our son in the Nursery since he was 6 months and couldn't be happier with the overall experience. The staff are the best, very caring and great with the kids. The nursery has a great family feel.
My child has a very good time at Kindred Islington every day. There are varied sessions and activities, friendly and caring staff, plus the rooms are playful and well laid out. Efforts are made to get the children out on a walk almost every day. All in all an excellent nursery in my opinion!
Kindred Islington staff did amazing over the month of December making the month so fun for all the kids and parents. They always go above and beyond with their activities and my little one always has some fun stories to tell when I pick her up.
Our daughter is so happy at nursery. The peace of mind we have knowing that we can go to work not having to worry about a thing is priceless. We would recommend the nursery to anyone considering enrolling their child there. I have deducted one star from "Facilities/outdoor space" due to the lack of outdoor space available at the nursery itself, however children are taken out to the local park/for walks regularly, so we do not see it as a problem.
We have a great experience at this nursery, the teachers are all caring and willing to listen any concerns from us parents. The facilities are also good and children are going to nearby parks when weather is good. Our daughter has made much progress since attending this nursery.
I've had such a positive experience so far! from finding the nursery and meeting staff. Everyone has been so warming and so pleasant from the start, and I couldn't be more happier having my child here in there care. Very pleased.
My 2-year-old son has been attending Kindred Islington since he was 10 months old, and it's been wonderful to see how much he has grown and developed during his time there. The staff truly make the nursery a special place-they're caring, attentive, and dedicated to the children's well-being. It's also been lovely to connect with other parents in the Kindred community. Overall, we've had a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend it.
We have 2 children at Kindred Islington and our experience has been excellent so far especially since the new nursery manager has joined the team. The manager and all the carers are very engaged and warm, and they do everything they possibly can to support us and make sure our children are happy and thriving at the nursery. They also do amazing activities for the children every day including sports, forest school, yoga, music classes, etc. and they put a lot of emphasis on the development of the children and preparing them for the next stage. In addition to the healthy and delicious home-cooked meals they prepare. Kindred has been a home for us over the last 2 years and we're incredibly grateful for the support of the manager, all the staff, and the parent community at the nursery who helped us during difficult times including my return from maternity leave and making sure our kids are well settled.
We feel that we are part of the Kindred family. On our first visit and since then, a particular member of staff has welcomed us as parents and oriented us brilliantly with the nursery. The management, the teachers and the staff have all made us feel at ease since the first day our daughter started at the nursery. Our daughter's key worker worked very closely with her and we couldn't have been happier with the care and attention she gave to our daughter. Her warmth and caring approach made our daughter feel at home. We are confident in knowing our daughter is safe and enjoys her time at the nursery with her teachers and friends!
My son is so happy here! The staff are wonderful his key worker is amazing and he loves her - they do so many lovely activities and his language has developed massively among other things - it's a lovely place for him to be and we're really happy as a family!
When I viewed Kindred I was impressed with the very clean and spacious rooms with lots of light, and how warm and friendly the team were. I also like that all food is made onsite and the chef has a great knowledge of the children. My 3-year-old started in March this year. He immediately loved going and has come on amazingly, he is not even 4 and he can write his name incredibly neatly. I am always blown away by what he gets up to during the day and I feel confident that he is being set up to begin school next year with a head-start. It was a no-brainer for my 1-year-old to start in June. They really take the child's lead to ensure that they are happy and comfortable. Handovers are always very well managed, with him receiving comfort when needed and updating me on how he is. The whole team really are wonderful, and I really appreciate not only the amount they get up to but also that the app is kept updated so I get a glimpse into their day.
My child was at the nursery for 18 months before Kindred took over and it was excellent. Kindred's takeover was terribly orchestrated, changes were made with no communication to parents, meals went from 2 home-cooked meals a day to 'vegetable sticks and tomato dip' for dinner. First all the staff left, so there wasn't enough staff to take the kids outside each day, and then all the kids started leaving. Within a couple of months every member of my child's class had left, parents absolutely horrified by the decline in the nursery. The worst part is the way Kindred treated the staff, hiring a new manager and desperately trying to find any reason to fire the previous one who the kids/parents loved. Despite being at the nursery for 2 years my child suddenly started crying at every drop-off, after 4 months I knew I had to move them. They are now at a council-run nursery, the fees are half of Kindreds, it has an amazing outdoor area, 2 home-cooked meals, staff and children are visibly happier.
Loving and caring staff, many of them very experienced. Children are happy to attend and participate in the activities they organise. Technology also helps create a sense of community with a very straightforward app.
