View Full Details of The Oak Tree Nursery & Pre SchoolOur children love going to Oaktree and we've been really happy with the care they receive there. They particularly enjoy the new forest school sessions, and French lessons in the pre-school class. The staff are all warm and friendly and it's brilliant having such exciting and varied outdoor play areas - which ours thoroughly enjoy!
Great hands on management and overview . Some amazing staff who give super care and love to the kids. This balances out the odd one or two less experienced members. Great food prepared on site . Good open and safe outdoor spaces with long periods of outdoor activities. All this makes Oaktree in Bere Hill superior to most other nurseries.
My son has been attending oak tree since he was around 18 months old , he's now 4 and going to school this year and honestly if I could keep him at oak tree for longer I would! I can't thank the staff and management enough for the extra support that has been put in place for my child, he has extra care needs due to being autistic and they have consistently gone above and beyond to help him thrive. His keyworker have always been amazing and his current keyworker , who he has been with since joining the pre school is phenomenal. I have nothing but great words to say about her , she is so important and special to my son and they are so bonded. The outside facilities are amazing, especially Forest school. All the staff know the children by name , we are always welcomed by happy faces and smiles. My son runs in every morning full of smiles and energy. The chef is amazing to , my son eats such a range of healthy delicious meals and always comes home with a full tummy!xx
The Oak Treehave made our son's first few weeks at nursery such a positive experience. It has been so reassuring to see how much care and attention has been given to help him settle in, and we are really grateful for the warm and welcoming environment they've created. A special thank you to two staff members in particular, who have clearly taken the time to get to know our son and make sure he feels safe and happy. It means so much to us to know he's in such kind and capable hands.
I have had both my children attend the Oak Tree nursery since 2021. My eldest began in preschool when we moved to the area and absolutely loved it here. My youngest started at 10months and currently still there. Both of my children built safe and positive relationships with staff that took care of them. They were happy at drop off and pick up and the staff were great at letting us know what they had been up to and specifically what they have enjoys. Hand overs are thorough at the end of the day and staff take the time to talk you through your child's day in detail. I appreciate that staff are been honest about any challenges your child is facing and do not shy away from having difficult conversations. They are supportive and provide a good level of care for the children that attend the nursery. I would recommend the nursery to prospective parents.
Great care for my child, lovely friendly and supportive staff. My child seems to be very happy, eagerly goes to the nursery and very well looked after. The downside is that daily activities are not tracked on the app, we cannot see naps, nappy changes/toilet visits, food intake in a single place which we could have accessed any time for review and analysis particularly as we have issues with eating at home, child seems to like very limited choice of food. It is extremely inconvenient to be queueing up daily to obtain that valuable information and in most cases we just get the child and walk away, we are also not able to come early to do an early handover as we are working until 6pm. Some investment into the app would be very beneficial for all parents, particularly for those who are separated and have to rely on another parent passing daily activities info over. Lastly, no flexibility in having very rare short term rearrangements of attended days even with an advanced notice.
My child has been at The Oak Tree for almost a year, has settled in really well and loves being there. The staff are fantastic and she's formed strong bonds with them. The setting is beautiful, with lots of outside space for the children to run around (notably more than other nurseries I looked at in the area) and with the children often outside for large parts of the day. The staff frequently set up great creative activities for the children to take part in, like painting and baking. The food is also excellent and has many more interesting items on it than other nurseries, from my experience. I cannot fault this nursery and am so grateful to them for giving my child such care and attention. I know she is in safe hands there.
The Oak Tree has been the most fantastic place for our little one. She came here and settled in very quickly. The staff have been friendly, caring and always accessible. The building and surroundings are magnificent, the food healthy and delicious, the activities, from being inside the lovely cabins to the outdoor gardens with stunning panoramic country views, are always engaging and fun. Our little one and us will miss everyone there very much - it felt like a second home and I can without doubt recommend The Oak Tree to anyone wondering if this might be the place for their own children. Thank you to all the staff.
We moved our two children to The Oak Tree in May, and they have both settled so quickly. It's a beautiful, clean setting with incredible food! We are greeted every morning with smiling faces from all the staff. The team are all incredible and goes above and beyond for the children and their families. I would always recommend The Oak Tree as a remarkable nursery.
As our son is coming to the end of his time in Little Acorns, we wanted to share our huge thanks to the room leader, nursery assistant and apprentice nursery assistant. Our son has taken a bit of time to settle and, as first-time parents, we have been worried. However, the staff in his room have worked tirelessly to provide a safe, engaging and comforting space for him. He has been a little pickle with his naps/eating but the staff have had so much patience and consistently persisted in encouraging him to do both. We can see that he has really begun to settle in and that's completely down to their hard work. Finally, what we have been really overwhelmed by is how enthusiastic and excited they have been by Rory's development. To us, it shows such a wonderful level of care and it has made us feel so much better about leaving him. Thank you so much all.
My son has been attending The Oak Tree since he was 9 months old and is now just over 2. He loves coming into nursery and is always very excited to see the staff and all his friends. The outside space was a huge factor in choosing this nursery and the children are allowed to have open play with one of the patios being accessible as well. They always have balanced meals with plenty of fruit and vegetables on offer and snacks throughout the day as well. My child is suspected SEN and when I notified the staff in his room they have already been very accommodating to his needs whilst awaiting an official diagnosis. I have already noticed a huge difference in his behaviour and his speech and am so grateful for the hard work and care they show towards him.
Our little boy has been attending Oak Tree since he turned 1, a year ago now, and we have nothing but positive things to say about the nursery. He is treated as an individual by all staff, his needs are met, and most importantly he enjoys his days and always has a smile on his face when we come to collect him. As a parent, there is always some apprehension when leaving your child in the care of others, but the staff at Oak Tree ensure your child is genuinely cared for, which helps make all the difference. His attachment and fondness for the staff is a testament to this. Our child is confident, happy and comprehensive with his talking, and we are delighted that the nursery works in partnership with us with any development changes or requests. We often comment on how fortunate we are to be able to send our son to such a caring nursery, with excellent outdoor space, thought-out activities and quality freshly cooked meals.
