Englefield Green Social Hall, Harvest Road, Englefield Green, Egham, TW20 0QT
View Full Details of Milton Hall Montessori SchoolFor us plus points were: Montessori curriculum - Amazing arts and crafts projects - Approachable teachers - Fully subsided by gov hours, no need to pay extra. Cons: the discipline and processes are a bit too strict, not exactly child-led at all times - very small and not-attractive outside area (but they try their best with toys etc.) - communications with parents and sharing minimal - a bit outdated system used. My son did indeed become more independent and also enjoyed all the activities. But I wouldn’t say he was always happy to go there. Good for those with ambitious learning goals.
I can’t express enough how amazing this nursery is! The staff have all got so much experience and they have a proper curriculum, projects, school trips and uniform. The children are so happy and well-adjusted having the stability and continuity of a great routine. It’s amazing seeing them grow with confidence and independence while having fun. I’m really confident my daughter will be more than ready for school when she goes. My only wish is it was a full-time nursery so she could go more and my only regret was I didn’t send her from the second she turned two.
We cannot find the words to describe how wonderful this nursery is. Our eldest child transitioned to Milton Hall during the first Covid-19 lockdown. The manager and her team moved mountains to support him in his transition to reception. He only attended for 26 days in total, but the difference that their support made was noticeable. They haven't ever forgotten him, either, following up on his health, well-being and happiness in his new setting. Fast-forward to the entry for our youngest and she has absolutely loved her time at Milton Hall. When I ask her about her favourite part of the day or the week she almost always tells me that it was playing with her teachers and her friends at school. The manager and her team discuss social and educational targets with us and we work together to support one another and our little girl as she moves towards reception. I would describe the team as unerringly professional, warm, loving, wonderfully creative, and supportive. A wonderful nursery!
