View Full Details of Ryan House Day NurseryMy daughter has attended since June just before her first birthday. Her development since starting has been unbelievable. The staff in her room set goals for her to walk which she achieved quickly as they set up activities that encouraged her to start taking steps. Her general confidence has increased and she has become very interactive. She absolutely loves the staff, even the staff from different rooms or departments. The nursery is very good at getting the babies outside playing and also different types of messy play. My daughter is always clean when I pick her up despite the messy activities. There also seems to be a very good variety of food. My daughter can be quite selective but is definitely trying more foods now.
All three of our children attend Ryan House. We are exceedingly happy with the nursery, the staff and the care and learning opportunities offered. The facilities are excellent and the space available is used well. In the past year, many rooms and displays have been revamped, spaces like the climbing frame room and access to the open field by the cricket club at the rear give our oldest, in particular, the space for lots of exercise and fun physical activities. The sports day this summer was fantastic, with so much planning and preparation put in. I would specifically praise the staff, who have all shown so much warmth and kindness to our kids. There seems to be far less staff turnover than other nurseries. The core of each team works so well together and communicates clearly with parents. Staff from the other rooms know our kids by name too, so there is a really welcoming atmosphere where everyone knows everyone and there's a feeling of happiness. Our kids love it!
Our daughter has been going to Ryan's House for the last two years. She is just about to move up into preschool and is very excited. All the staff are professional and friendly. Some making such an impression that she speaks of them outside of nursery.
My 3-year-old (pre-school) and 1-year-old (tigers room) both enjoy going to Ryan House. In pre-school there have been lots of 'school leavers' activities including phonics, writing their name and trying on the school uniform. They run a forest school although my 3-year-old wasn't very keen on going. In the tigers room we get a few photos on the app every day and see what activities are planned for that day. The climbing room is great and the outdoor space has recently been improved. They also have access to the cricket field. In the last few years there have been a lot of changes with the nursery being taken over by Grandir but everything has settled down now. Sometimes the menu seems a bit too adventurous for 1-year-olds!
Amazing nursery, my son has been coming since he was 9 months old and I have always felt at such ease with leaving him due to the staff doing such an amazing job. My son absolutely loves going. Thank you Ryan House staff!
My daughter has been at Ryan House for the last year and I've been so impressed with the love, care and attention they've shown her. We receive an update each day with the activities the children will be doing and the staff take the time to put out activities they know the children have a particular interest in; it's great seeing how child-centred they are. The majority of days we will also receive photos of what our daughter has been up to which is lovely. They frequently update the app throughout the day so it's great to have the ongoing reassurance around food, naps and nappies. Ryan House have actively taken on board feedback from parents and regularly communicate the changes they're making and what events are planned in the future. I couldn't recommend this wonderful nursery more. Thank you Ryan House team!
My first child attended Ryan House from age 10 months to 4 years (she's now in school), and now my second child attends the nursery. We only have positive things to say about Ryan House. The staff are brilliant and so attentive. Both children have always had the best time every day with so many activities to keep them busy. Their confidence has grown too, especially with my first child. The staff at Ryan House really helped her confidence grow ready for starting primary school.
Ryan House is a phenomenal nursery. Every day, activities are laid out for the children and they get such a variety. Our daughter loves it there and the key people always tell us what she's been up to and where we can support her or just celebrate in her learning. They subtly help the children to learn how to look after themselves and prepare for school/life, all in a really fun way and a relaxed environment. We came from a much more expensive nursery but our experience of Ryan House is exceptional in comparison - the processes and management all just work and it's a really happy, supportive atmosphere. The staff turnover is low which says it all really - they treat the staff well and help them progress in their careers - these happy staff go the extra mile for the children. I absolutely love it and I'm only sorry we didn't find it earlier for my other children!
We moved our son to Ryan House after a bad experience with a local nursery. We were immediately greeted with warmth from the staff and an impressive playroom with lots of different imaginative props and costumes as well as a fantastic climbing room. Alongside this, our son has issues with his speech and the staff went above and beyond to help him with this alongside allowing his speech therapist to visit and show staff what to do with him. In addition, the frequent trips to a local care home to engage with the residents and trips to town on the bus to a Chinese restaurant we are so happy we made the change to this nursery.
Would be nice to see regular photos of the children during their time at nursery they seem to be very few these days. Can get confusing at times with specific event dates as informed of one date then changes to another needs to improve so that parents can plan. Since moving into preschool it would be nice to know future dates of when they will be assigned to the external activities - care home visits did not have any update on when or if they’re going. Forest school dates when your child is assigned to these so that you have plenty of notice to get the relevant clothing etc. I did overhear that the minibus was out of use but we should be being notified about this. Items of clothing going missing having to chase for them to be returned have actually given up as I shouldn’t be having to do this. I would however like to say that the lady in preschool is always so welcoming, smiles and always provides great feedback on collections she truly is an asset to the nursery and the kids love her.
We have been so impressed with all aspects of the nursery. The staff are wonderful and have helped my son to settle in well. I feel confident that I’m leaving him in an environment where he can learn and explore. We love receiving updates throughout the day and seeing what the children are up to. We would definitely recommend the nursery.
We’ve been really happy with Ryan House since our daughter started there in January. We had been nervous about it but all the lovely team have been so kind and supportive to our daughter (and us!) throughout. From the settling-in process, right through to today we’ve felt really happy and supported. They provide regular updates throughout the day. We love how they start the day by sharing what they have planned for the kids and how this helps development. The activities always look so engaging, imaginative, fun and we love that they also tie in themed play too - it’s been especially sweet seeing activities for World Book Day, World Down Syndrome Day and Easter recently. They also share photos which is reassuring to see our daughter having fun and settling in. They are great at updating us on her interests and development too and make suggestions of what we can do at home. The food made by the lovely chef always sounds healthy and delicious too. Thank you Ryan House!
I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, the staff are really great and knowledgeable. The facilities are brilliant and everything is geared towards the children’s best interests. My daughter is always excited to come here.
Our daughter has been going to Ryan House for more than a year and she is really enjoying it. We’re also extremely happy with the professionalism of the staff and the conditions in which the kids learn, play, eat and sleep. A definite five-star review from us.
Fantastic nursery very understanding helpful and caring. Very child-focused, very good learning ethos, and is a very parent-informative nursery. I find it all caring helpful and supportive child needs.
My child started at the end of last year. The staff team have been amazing with him. They have worked hard to meet his needs and have built a good relationship with him. I am kept up to date with his progress.
Ryan House has been fantastic with offering us space, helping my daughter settle in quickly and really good with communication with us as parents and my daughter as well. She has been in preschool since May 2023 and absolutely loves it. This is her 3rd nursery setting and the only one she enjoyed from the word go. The nursery set up is vibrant and engaging, the staff members are friendly, honest and conscientious. They make an effort to have different activities, and to know each child and their interests and weaknesses. I can see them having encouraged a lot of learning, confidence and social interaction in my daughter. We would choose Ryan House again for sure if we needed to and highly recommend it.
I cannot recommend Ryan House Day Nursery enough. I am an incredibly anxious, first-time mum and the thought of putting my daughter into the care of strangers was so overwhelming, especially because my daughter has a litany of allergies. But Ryan House was simply incredible from day one. The amazing chef was the best teammate I could have in ensuring my daughter did not incur any allergic reactions whilst eating there. And the care she received from all of the staff was just incredible. She came out every day with a beaming smile, I received daily updates and photos on the app. I wish we didn’t have to leave! If you’re considering Ryan House, I urge you to take a tour and meet the staff and see how happy the children are. You won’t regret it.
My child has attended this facility for a fair few years and in those years has drastically grown in confidence. We picked this nursery for the behaviour of the children, 'forest school' and quirky extras it offers. The staff are exceptional, in particular her three favourites who my child adores and talks about. She has made friends for life here. Well done Ryan House.
Our daughter has attended another nursery pre Ryan's House but the change in her is massive. She waves goodbye and is happy to arrive at Ryan's House. She sometimes looks disappointed when I come to collect her! Whilst her key person has changed a few times, the same staff are there which is usually a good sign. Our daughter has developed into a social and confident child with the help of the staff in the Tigers room.
