Deterioration of service. This is my third review of Happitots Nursery as I have been a customer for 9 years and was previously happy with the service received. Happitots were previously operated by Bertram, in 2022 Bertram expanded to become Thrive. Since then, the Scottish sites have gone into decline (please see Companies House annual return for Thrive which gives a clear picture). The photos currently displayed on Day Nurseries are not up to date and the manager resigned following a very poor Inspectorate Report in October 2024. The staff members who actually care for the children are brilliant, some have been there for decades, they are lovely and deserve only praise. However, the management, specifically the Area Manager is completely out of touch with reality and refused to meet with parents prior to Christmas to address our concerns. Ultimately, I removed my daughter who now attends another nursery - a world apart.

Staff are amazing and my child loves attending nursery and goes in everyday with a smile on his face. Staff are very welcoming and always keep us informed about how our child is. My son has allergies and the nursery are fantastic at making sure any food he has does not contain milk or soya.

My son has been attending Happitots since he was 3 months old and he’s now 4 and in the preschool room. I couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving my child with anyone. The girls are all excellent, he’s always learning something new at nursery, playing out in the garden and loves all the lunches. They’ve always got fun activities planned out for the kids and my son always comes home happy, telling me about what a great day he has had. Can’t recommend enough.

Great nursery and exceeded all expectations. As a first-time mum, I was nervous taking my child to nursery, however the whole transition has been seamless and my child loves going. I am kept up to date with her progress with pictures and commentary on her daily activities.

We are very happy that our boys go to this nursery. It's a great place and great care. We had concerns about the lack of knowledge of the English language, but all the ladies who work in this nursery made every effort to make our children feel comfortable here. We are very satisfied with the care and we recommend this nursery with a clear conscience!

Could not be happier with Happitots Baillieston, always welcomed with a smile and my child loves going to nursery. He loves his teachers and friends and has so much fun when he is there. Teachers are fantastic, always keeping you up to date with how their day has gone, how they have been and what they have been doing. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

This is a nursery with experienced and professional staff members who know exactly how to look after the children. Our children love going to the nursery and we see their development accelerate thanks to the care provided by the staff. What's best about them is that they know the children extremely well and therefore they are excellent at looking after them. In the preschool room, they prepare the children for their new school life and they do it brilliantly well. My daughter was shy and we felt she might not be ready to start school but thanks to the excellent work of the staff, she grew confident and mature for her age. When she started school last year, she was perfectly ready, and she is thriving at her new school. We can't praise the staff and the managers well enough for the brilliant work they do. I highly recommend this nursery to any parents with young children.

Perfect place for both our children! They explore, learn, have fun and build relationships. Both my children love being at nursery and have a lovely bond with the people who work there. They have built confidence and have made friendships with their peers along the way. The nursery staff are passionate about their roles (our key workers in particular) overall the nursery approaches policy with due diligence and keeps us informed of how our children are developing consistently and thoroughly.

My little one has gone to this nursery since she was a baby. She loves all the teachers and staff. They are very friendly and always kind to the children. The staff always inform me of my daughter’s day and the food she has eaten. I have had a great experience in the 3.5 years with this nursery. Very happy with the services and the staff that look after my daughter. I would always recommend this nursery.

My first child started in 2020 and loved it, she still enjoys visiting to pick up my youngest. My youngest also has come on leaps and bounds since starting last autumn in the baby room. Both have had dairy allergies which are catered for with no issues. The staff always give real care and nurture to each child. I have recommended the nursery to a friend whose child now attends the nursery and has settled in well.

My son has been here for around 8 months and I’m very happy with the progress he’s making. The staff are lovely and care for my son great. He loves going in and doing activities with the staff and other kids. I am always kept up to date with his progress and how his day has been with the updates on the app.

My son has been going to the nursery since he was a baby and he has always had a great time. He started during covid and we weren’t allowed inside the nursery so communication was limited however this isn’t anything the staff or management could have helped with. The teachers are great and he really enjoys going.

Staff are always helpful and friendly. My child is always happy to go in and happy when picked up. She feels safe and comfortable with everyone at the nursery and has developed great relationships with all the staff. I never have to worry while she is at nursery because I believe she’s in good hands.

Our son has been at Happitots Baillieston since he was 8 months old and is now 16 months. We have had no issues at all. The staff are so attentive and you can tell that they love what they do. Our son absolutely loves going to nursery and even shouts ‘ta ta’ before we hand him over. He is always happy when we pick him up as well. We are kept up to date with what he eats, his nappy changes sleeps and the multitude of activities and messy play he gets up to. Everything is easily accessible through the app. Not only we can tell that he loves his time at nursery but we can really see how it is helping his development. He is so social and nursery has helped with his eating massively. The range of food the kids are fed is great too. Whenever we need to call to talk to someone, usually the manager, we’ve never had a problem and are always met with genuine care/concern when our son is unwell and can’t attend.

My son has been at Happitots Nursery Baillieston for 3 years and he loves it. All the staff are amazing and they go above and beyond for your children. The activities in the nursery always look great fun and I like that he has the opportunity to learn Spanish. I would like day trips to be organised so the children can go out for the day and not stay in nursery grounds all the time but overall I would definitely recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.

The nursery is the best in all aspects of standards for my child. My child has attended the nursery since he was 1 year old and the nurture care and development the nursery has given my child has set him the foundations to prepare him for school with the skills and learning in social and educational. The teachers are of the highest quality building great relationships and setting a great example for the children. The care and attention are second to none and this is across all areas and rooms in which my son has had the great pleasure and benefit of being in. The nursery manager in my opinion is a pillar of the community and the nurture care and investment she puts into the children from the first day gives you the trust and confidence this is the number one nursery in the area. I cannot recommend the nursery high enough.

I’ve got two children currently attending the nursery and soon to be a third! Our two boys have been attending since they were one year old and have grown in confidence, maturity and ability. We’re really happy with the care the kids receive. They eat well even meals they would never try at home! We can see a huge difference since the eldest has moved into the preschool room, every day he came home excited to share what he had learnt that day. Both boys love all the nursery staff. Would recommend the nursery.

My child has been attending this nursery for a year now. Staff are always available to speak to and are very attentive towards the parents/carers and children within their care. Daily updates are a great way to communicate and keep up to date with what is going on that day at nursery.

I had high expectations when putting my son into this nursery but they have gone over and above those expectations. He is loving it! The staff are amazing and he has so much fun. I love the updates and pictures on the app giving me a little glimpse of his day. I can really see a change in him already with how he can sit and concentrate on an activity and enjoys learning, how he socialises and his confidence has massively improved. Thanks to all staff at Happitots Baillieston.

Our daughter has been attending Happitots Baillieston for almost two and a half years now and we couldn't have asked for a better nursery to send her to. Our daughter loves going to nursery to see all the teachers and her friends. Every day she surprises us with the new things she has learned. The staff are truly amazing. The children dote on them. We would highly recommend this nursery.

We are very happy that our boys go to this nursery. It's a great place and great care.
