View Full Details of Kings Burrow NurseryMy daughter has attended Kings Burrow nursery 4 or 5 days a week for 7 months now, and is now 20 months old. I am very happy with the nursery and always feel like she is being very well cared for there. All of the staff seem to genuinely care for the children there, and ensure that there are such a good variation of tasks/play opportunities (inside and outside, and also little trips away from the nursery) so that the children are kept happy, occupied, and learning well. Our busy and excitable daughter is happy and well socialised and gets to do lots of fun messy play. The nursery also look after her dietary needs/allergies well and she eats much more varied food there than she does at home. We would recommend this nursery as a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.
My son attended a different setting first, where my concerns regarding his speech weren't taken seriously. He is attending Kings Burrows for over a year now and he's absolutely thriving! He loves all of the staff and I know he's in the best hands when I'm not there. At home he is a really fussy eater but he enjoys the nursery meals very much. One of the highlights of the nursery are certainly the outdoor areas and the "nature garden".
Kings Burrow Nursery has such a happy community. All of the practitioners are kind, considerate and welcoming. My daughter has been well looked after from a baby to now a toddler. They embrace everything about her and spend quality time getting to know her understanding her likes and dislikes, challenging her but also showing her compassion and teaching her new things! We're very grateful as a family for all Kings Burrow have done and continue to do for our daughter encouraging her to be independent, courageous and herself!
Both of my sons (4 & 1) go to Kings Burrow, and I have nothing but nice things to say about the nursery. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere, excellent communications and the staff are always keen to share how the boys are getting on. The facilities are good and well presented, with plenty of outdoor space and activities. I would certainly credit the Kings Burrow team with helping my children learn and develop into (here I maybe a bit bias) fantastic little humans.
The Kings Burrow team are simply brilliant, and our son looks forward to everyday with his friends in their supportive, educational and joyful environment. The staff are dedicated, caring, and professional. The facilities and experiences they create are second to none. They have created such a strong and happy culture for our little ones, and it shows. 10/10 would recommend.
Kings Burrow Nursery has been fantastic for my child. Every morning, they're excited to go in, and every evening, they come home full of stories. The staff are warm, engaged, and genuinely care. Management is hands-on and often in the rooms, so it looks to be a real team effort. The facilities are great, with plenty to keep children engaged, and there's a strong focus on outdoor learning. There's also a lovely sense of community, where we often see staff at birthday parties and other events with their own children, which makes the nursery feel even more welcoming. Communication is excellent, with clear handovers and regular updates through the app, which is really reassuring. Kings Burrow Nursery is a nurturing, supportive place where children seem to thrive, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and well-run setting.
My niece currently attends Kings Burrow Nursery and she is so happy. The staff are phenomenal, especially in the Bunnies Room. She has come on so much in her development, especially speech and language and she regularly shares her adventures at nursery with me whenever I pick her up. Thank you to all the staff who work at the setting for providing such a caring and safe environment for the children where they can flourish.
My son started at Kings Burrow beginning of January and over the last couple of months, he has thrived well. He's become more sociable and his speech is really coming along - it won't be long until he's talking away! It's great that he has developed good bonds with the staff, particularly in the baby room and with his key person.
Great nursery, really friendly and welcoming. The staff are fantastic and really get to know the children. They are supportive and caring. There is a nice variety of outdoor area spaces, and the forest school is amazing. Staff go above and beyond to offer great opportunities; for example Didi dance, little kickers and zoo lab. Theme weeks are well planned out and there is always a variety of activities taking place.
I have two children attending the nursery and my husband and I are very happy with the care that they receive. The staff are gentle and kind, showing genuine care for our children which is really important to us. Our children love going to nursery and settled very quickly. Our son talks fondly of his key worker and our daughter, although still young, definitely shows love for her key worker. Recently, the nursery has seen some improvements to their outdoor areas, making them tidier and very inviting for the children. I love hearing what my son has gotten up to at the end of the day. The new cook is brilliant and the meals are tasty but also nutritious - and of course our son eats things he would never eat at home! We also love that the nursery have been doing more trips recently, as well as events for parents - it's always great to meet other parents. We would recommend Kings Burrow to everyone if we could! Thank you.
Absolutely fabulous nursery. I feel like I'm dropping my child off to a safe secure family rather than a nursery! The staff are enthusiastic and encouraging. The setting is fun with plenty of outdoor space - including a forest garden, playground and even use of the school fields at times. Themed weeks keep the children entertained. Great meals with a seasonal changing menu. My child has thrived and grown in every way since joining King's Burrow thanks to their wonderful staff and the opportunities they offer.
We have had a very good experience with King's Burrow nursery so far, having enrolled our now 10 month old son around 6 weeks ago. The team are lovely and have given our child such a warm welcome. He seems to be thriving and is developing really well, learning new skills every day. The management team I really trust and the team in our son's room (the younger babies room!) have been lovely too. They are quick to call you and update you when inevitably your baby has a little tumble etc and keep you informed.
My three-year-old son has been going to King's Burrow since he was one. He is very shy going in every day and finds it difficult to leave us, but the staff are patient and help him overcome his fears. He has an amazing time when he is there and gets involved in the nature garden, dance classes, trips to the library, etc. His language developed quickly as did his number recognition and writing. All the staff are caring and friendly. I highly recommend King's Burrow Nursery.
My son has been attending Kings Burrow Nursery since February 2023. He came to this nursery hardly speaking and has left fully speaking. This nursery is outstanding and everyone is willing to help. Everyone I have come across who has worked or working here has always been extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help the little ones. My little boy enjoyed every moment spent here and to say we were worried about him starting 'big school' due to his speech, well that's now out of our minds. His development over the last month's thanks to this facility is amazing. So thank you.
Our 18-month-old son started a few months ago. I find the staff friendly, kind and very good with my son. The nature garden they have is very popular with the little ones. They have a good online log for messages, reports and photos of what your little one has done during the day. The nursery feels safe, and because it is within a gated school, it adds that extra security.
Our son spent one year at Kings Burrow between September 2021-22 as a pr-schooler. English is not our first language, and we felt his language skills were supported and largely enhanced during this year. We were also struggling with potty training at the time, and I must say the support we were given was incredible. They were patient, encouraging and also shared useful tips with us. Our son felt at home there. All nursery workers are friendly and welcoming, and we loved the large outside space. Allocated parking spaces are very convenient.
Our daughter has been so happy at Kings Burrow. The staff are incredibly kind, caring and approachable and know her really well. She has participated in so many different activities (messy/art activities being the favourite!), walks and outdoor play, and has always had a smile at pick up, chattering about her nursery friends. Having had our older children at a bigger, busier local nursery, we have really loved the warm family feel that Kings Burrow has and would recommend it without hesitation.
I have attended the nursery by invitation to interact with my son during nursery activities and get a feel of the structure and care given. I was impressed with what I saw and felt a great leave of comfort knowing that all the children were receiving a good quality of care and comfort. I was happy with the structure of learning/play, as well as the layout and set-up of the nursery itself. I'd also like to add, as a single father that doesn't get to see his son every day, the app provided, which includes daily reports and photos, is an absolute godsend. It helps me feel in the loop with his development and is extensive enough in its explanation of this. I can also see that same quality of care shining through the reports and explanations through the app. Overall, very happy.
I would highly rate Kings Burrow nursery to any potential parents looking for a nursery which has a positive, caring ethos. Although the outdoor space may be smaller than other local nurseries the nursery have been clever in providing different learning spaces in each such as its nature garden. Children are also able to access the school's main sports field at certain times of the day and weather permitting. The staff are brilliant in letting you know what learning activities they are completing with children and regularly update me on what my daughter has focused upon with her group and how I can support her further at home. They also provide supportive resources in their reception such as reading books. The staff are wonderful and treat my daughter with loving care and respect. They know her as an individual and provide her with bespoke learning opportunities having a second language. The management are really helpful and always looking to improve the nursery.
All of the team are friendly and caring towards both our children. Really allowed them to grow and become more confident in various ways. It was always a pleasure to come home and be told about the fun activities they got up to, along with what they had eaten that day and who they played with. Any issues promptly dealt with not that we came across many if at all any. Open to answering any question we have at any point. Very personable and although team members have changed over the past few months, there has not been a noticeable change in standards.
