I couldn't recommend The Norwich Montessori School more highly. The teachers live and breathe the Montessori ethos, treating the children as highly capable individuals, providing activities that stimulate and foster their independence. Communication is exceptional - we receive detailed observations each week, and through these, I'm always struck by how well the staff know my child. The lunchtime clubs (science / drama / yoga and music) are excellent. I love how the school actively celebrates cultural diversity and encourages children to think about environmental issues, fostering a love and awareness of the wider world. Throughout the year, there's a lovely range of events for parents to join with celebrations of different festivals, which strengthens the school's sense of community. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. I really don't think there's anywhere else quite like it and would encourage anyone interested to book a visit!

The Norwich Montessori School was a great experience from start to finish for our two kids who attended the nursery for five years. The staff are wonderful and clearly care about children and are passionate about learning. It is a well-organised school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Norwich Montessori School to any other family.

Instantly upon visiting Norwich Montessori School for the first time we knew that this was the perfect setting for our child, and that we need look no further. This is a wonderful nurturing environment and we were instantly struck by the authenticity of the Montessori approach and how peaceful and happy the children were. Our child is absolutely thriving; her language has come on so much, and she is forging friendships with her classmates fostered by her attentive and insightful teachers.

Before my son joined the nursery we visited a couple of times. My son seemed to like the classroom straight away, the staff were very welcoming. After attending the nursery for a term now, my little boy is very settled in and he always comes home happy. We get pictures sent to us each week of all the things they have been playing with and learning about which is lovely to see. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone! My little boy is thriving!

My 3-year-old son started at Norwich Montessori School 6 months ago and he is absolutely thriving. He struggled with settling at first and the staff were so capable, calm and caring that he moved through it quickly and is super confident and happy there now. The space is carefully constructed, with practical real-life toys and the atmosphere is calm and content yet with enough on offer to meet each need and mood. Communication from the setting to parents is excellent and the relationship my son seems to have with staff is just lovely to witness. We couldn't be happier and are very grateful.

This is a proper Montessori nursery, following the Montessori principles of education. All three of my children have attended (one still does), and it prepared my oldest ones effectively for school in terms of their cognitive, physical, emotional and social development. The kids are always positive about their time there, and they have good relationships with both the staff and other children. There is a good range of enrichment activities, and parents can follow their child's progress online. Communication with parents is very good, and the staff are all lovely, supportive and nurturing. I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

The classroom is so tidy, every child is so well-behaved. The teachers are patient and kind. I love their activities, like outings, nativity play and harvest lunch. 100/100 given to them.

This nursery is not SEND-friendly. This nursery broke my son's spirit instead of building him up. Had the unfortunate experience of sending my son to this nursery. He is autistic and has limited verbal communication. Most of the staff were nice and caring towards him however the manager was particularly derogatory with her comments. My son ended up coming home in meltdowns. I was never granted permission to visit and observe my son at the nursery despite offering to help multiple times. We did not complete the academic year with this nursery as the amount of discrimination we experienced: hurtful comments, lack of care, exclusion due to disability; to drop off my son later and pick up earlier were far too stressful. They claimed hours of his funding (and more) yet did not allow him in for the normal duration of a session due to his disability. In a nutshell: if you believe your child may have special needs, avoid this place. My son still has trauma.

My daughter was a little apprehensive about starting nursery because she'd always been with me during her days. However, the staff have been so supportive, caring and understanding and she has now settled really well. All the staff are great and I know my daughter is looked after very well. They go out of their way to ensure my daughter is happy. The calm nurturing environment is perfect for young children. I would definitely recommend to other parents.

The Norwich Montessori School is an amazing school. All children are treated as individuals with care and attention given throughout the day. All of the teachers are calm and this has a wonderful effect and the children develop and blossom as a result. My daughter is extremely happy here.

Norwich Montessori School is just excellent! The teachers are all so kind and nurturing, helping each child to blossom. They celebrate diversity and creativity. My son loves it so much! You can just see him burst with pride when he has learned something at Montessori- just awesome!

Our daughter has attended Norwich Montessori School for the last fifteen months and we are extremely happy with our experience. The staff are friendly, approachable and treat children as individuals. They know our daughter well and have helped her to become a much more confident, resilient and curious little girl. Respect for children is at the heart of this nursery. The nursery is flexible and we were able to gradually build up hours that suited us and our child's needs. There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor play and the children learn lots about caring for the planet. The activities are carefully chosen and made from beautiful materials. The nursery space is always clean, tidy and well-organised and children take equal responsibility in looking after their environment. Our daughter is always excited about going into nursery and loves the extracurricular activities at lunchtime too. We feel really lucky that she has attended Norwich Montessori School and know she will be well-prepared for primary school.

My second child just finished his time here at Norwich Montessori and we couldn’t be happier! Both the boys were ready to start reception with all the skills and tools needed to succeed in the classroom and socially. They learned to be independent, problem solve, how to interact with others during play and how to socialize with others- adults and children. All the staff are amazing and I couldn’t recommend this setting more! My third child will start this January and we can’t wait to see how much personal growth he will gain at the Norwich Montessori School.

I can’t speak highly enough about Norwich Montessori School. It is the loveliest nursery setting and there is nowhere else I’d want my children to attend. The staff are so nurturing and caring and really take the time to get to know your child. The principal is amazing and goes above and beyond. My son is thriving here and learns and experiences so much. We feel so lucky to have found it and would recommend it to anyone.

It has been a joy to watch our daughter blossom and grow in confidence through her time at the Norwich Montessori School. It is a magical place to learn and we feel incredibly lucky to have found it. The Montessori method fosters independence, curiosity, empathy, respect for others and our environment and a love for learning through practical tasks. The Norwich Montessori School has a wonderful learning environment with incredibly dedicated and responsive teachers. The set-up is homely with timeless resources in neutral and natural tones that help nourish a calm environment. The teachers appreciate the children as individuals with kindness and understanding while supporting their learning using the Montessori approach. As parents, we felt we were integral to the whole educational process and through the parents’ site we were able to see the teachers’ thoughtful and considered observations of our daughter’s development. An outstanding nursery!

My son has been going to Norwich Montessori for the last 8 months and I couldn’t be happier with this nursery. The care and attention that the staff gives is excellent and the manager takes time to explain what my son has been doing each day in the setting. I’ve been really impressed with the activities, and the life skills my son is learning will be laying foundations for his future and his education. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Sending my daughter to this nursery was the best decision I've ever made for her! She started when she was 2 and a half and she was very nervous to be away from me but she very quickly settled in and loved attending! She is now a confident and happy 4 and a half-year-old! I've enjoyed watching her confidence grow in the time she's been here and her social skills with other children are so good now. This nursery was ideal for her as it's a smaller and more intimate setting. The members of staff are really amazing and you can tell how much they care about the children. They make sure that the children feel valued as individuals and allow them to work on their interests and take ownership of their own learning. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

My son has attended the Norwich Montessori School for the last 18 months. The principal and the other teachers are just amazing. The level of care and attention they give the children is incredible. My son has really come out of his shell and just grown in confidence so much. I love that the activities he has access to are fun and exciting but also educational. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery school.

I can’t rate this nursery highly enough. The team are so friendly and experienced. The approach they use is nurturing and child-centred - they really do treat each child as an individual. Most importantly my little one has loved her time there and is growing into her own person with confidence. Will be sad to leave when the time comes!
