View Full Details of Thames Tiddlers NurseryThames Tiddlers has been an oasis for my daughter and a boon for the community. Maybe that's a little hyperbolic but there's nothing better than rocking up for pick-up and marvelling at the absolute state she's in. Nothing but laughs and smiles, clothes painting a story of the day she has had and with stories about her day (in between asking where her mother is and if I've brought snacks!) at nursery and what she'd been up to. From spending time reading, to playing outside in the mud kitchen and running riot with her friends, every day comes replete with adventure. The educators do an amazing job with meeting the sometimes complex needs of the children, respecting and championing their individuality but applying boundaries to their experience within the setting. We're expecting our second very soon and will be looking to find a place for them too because of how much our daughter has benefited from their setting and developed as a person.
- friendly and professional - good communication - great serve of community - happy with meals and food in general - good activities, interactive, educative
My eldest son attended Thames Tiddlers in Pre-School for a year before he started primary school. They were brilliant throughout that time. Communication was always excellent (shout out to the deputy manager for that!). His induction days were well-organised and settled him in nicely. His key worker was fantastic and is beloved by the children there. The curriculum is fab, with lots of play but also working on writing and other skills. He came on loads, which was seen in the graduation evening, where the displays of children's work was excellent. The site is also brilliant, with the outdoor area in particular being fantastic for little ones. All the staff are very friendly and caring. The community of other parents is also a real joy. Overall, Thames Tiddlers got my son ready for primary school so well, it massively helped with his transition. In fact, we are so impressed we're hoping to send our younger son there later this year!
Thames Tiddlers is a fantastic nursery, my daughter love attending this setting and staff are amazing. I love all the outdoor activities provided, as my daughter loves exploring outdoors and is at her element when outside.
Our daughter has been attending Thames Tiddlers since she was 10 months old, and we couldn't be happier. The educators are warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They create a nurturing environment where our daughter has thrived. She settled in very quickly, which was a huge reassurance for us and it's clear she feels happy and secure there. Handovers are always thorough, and we receive detailed information about her day, including meals, naps, and activities. Her educators also provide regular reports and photos, which are lovely to receive and give us great insight into her development. Communication is excellent, and we always feel well informed. It's a safe, engaging, and welcoming setting. Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery.
My daughter is my second child at Thames Tiddlers Nursery, her brother having left to start school last September. Both my children have absolutely loved nursery. The educators are warm and caring and clearly have a lot of love for their workplace and all the children. The setting is amazing wonderful indoor and outdoor space which is free flowing. The children are able to use the garden all year round. I cannot recommend highly enough. If you are looking for a setting where your child can thrive pay Thames Tiddlers a visit!
My daughter has attended Thames Tiddlers since she was 8 months old and absolutely loves it, she has built some of the most amazing relationships with both educators and fellow children who attend. She has developed so many skills and is always so keen to tell me about her time with her friends. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, I know my daughter will miss it so much next September (2026) when she leaves to go to primary school
My daughter started pre-school in September 2024- although she had some days where she wasn't settling the staff were extremely understanding and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and safe! She loves going to preschool now and loves her teachers and playing with her friends. Thames Tiddlers is an amazing nursery with great staff who only have the kids' best interests at heart.
A nurturing haven for early childhood development. This nursery is an exceptional early learning setting that beautifully blends thoughtful design with educational excellence. The use of natural materials creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately feels welcoming and stimulating. The outdoor area is well-maintained and offers a fantastic environment for children to explore, learn, and play. The 'kindergarden' gardening activities provide wonderful opportunities for hands-on learning and connection with nature. The staff are the nursery's greatest asset - warm, caring, and incredibly dedicated. Their commitment to each child's individual needs is remarkable and provides parents with complete confidence in their child's care. Overall Thames Tiddlers is an outstanding nursery that goes above and beyond in creating a nurturing, educational, and supportive environment for young learners. Highly recommended for parents seeking quality early childhood education.
My son loves attending Thames Tiddlers and has made a best friend in his key worker - as well as the other educators in the baby room. Every educator shows a lot of kindness to my son, who can sometimes struggle with leaving me (mummy) at drop-off, but overall he loves his days at the nursery. I have noticed big leaps in his development as he has come up through the baby room, and I know that a lot of it is helped by the team at Thames Tiddlers. The team have always been open to my comments and questions, and they are helping to tackle things with me, such as reducing my son's use of his dummy and bunny toy. We have always been a fan of the open setting, which allows the children to play in and outside as they wish, and allows them to play with natural objects and experimental toys, rather than just the usual plastic toys etc.
I’d highly recommend Thames Tiddlers nursery to fellow parents/guardians. My children loved the outside space, the free flow, natural resources and closeness to nature. I really like their teaching methods and their core values. I greatly appreciate the fact that they plan every day according to the children’s interests. They teach the children independence and also to play nicely in groups. In pre-school, the level of education is exceptional. My daughter finished pre-school with being able to write her name, numbers to 10, count to 20 and know a lot about space, gardening, animals etc. She was able to describe what Saturn looks like or what did Neil Armstrong do in space. My boy learnt how to play football, his fine motor skills developed a lot, he learnt to love drawing, and both learnt English in the nursery and they were fluent by the age of 3. (Joining at age 2 with no English) Huge thank you to all the staff for their dedication too.
Our family is absolutely in love with Thames Tiddlers. Our son beams when we come to pick him up and we've been delighted by how well all the educators in his room - not just his key worker (who is fab!) - know him and care for him with so much heart. I love the write-ups we get through the parents' app which have allowed us to continue his learning at home and also keep in close touch with his key worker. He's our only little one and, in an ideal world, we'd love to be with him all the time - but we have to work and I can honestly say that any sadness I feel about leaving him for the workday goes away when I see how happy he is, learning and growing at Thames Tiddlers. Really feel lucky to have Thames Tiddlers in our neighbourhood.
I am so delighted with Thames Tiddlers. My son is only in the baby room but grins every time we arrive there which says it all. He had come on leaps and bounds since starting and the staff are absolutely lovely and know him so well. What sets it apart for me is the fabulous outdoor space. Having moved from central London I just love that he can be outside so much of the day and the outdoor classroom for preschool looks wonderful. It’s also more affordable than other local nurseries which means a broad range of families can attend which is great.
My son has been attending Thames Tiddlers for 18 months and we thoroughly recommend the nursery. It took him a while to settle in at 20 months of age, but once he settled he never looked back - we are lucky if we get a goodbye at drop off! Staff are friendly and easy to talk to and I know my son is cared for very well. His physical, emotional and verbal development has accelerated greatly, and we know he'll be prepared for primary school next year.
Our four-year-old daughter has been at Thames Tiddlers Nursery since she was ten months old. We have been really impressed with the warmth and care the staff have shown her. The Reggio Emilia approach they use has been fabulous for fostering creativity, confidence and an appreciation of nature in our daughter. The curriculum is always rich and full of new activities that make our daughter love going to nursery.
We have two children and both have attended Thames Tiddlers Nursery since they were nine months old. The staff are friendly, supportive and they fully prepared our first child for primary school. There is a range of activities and the staff get to know the individual child, their likes and dislikes.
We have two children at the nursery and I have been very happy with the care they have received. The staff are very approachable and keep parents well informed about how the children are getting on. A range of activities are done and they spend a lot of time outside. The staff have a lovely way with the children and are very dedicated.
We have used Thames Tiddlers nursery since January 2014. It's been great thanks to the wonderful staff. I am very positive about this nursery overall. It would be great if they could organise more outings. My eldest child had the opportunities to visit the local zoo and museum. Recently they don't do as many outings now as they did before.
Thames Tiddlers is a lovely nursery. The staff work tirelessly to keep the children stimulated and safe. They have created a wonderful natural environment for children to explore and learn and we feel very fortunate to have this Reggio Emilia inspired nursery in our neighbourhood. Keep up the good work Thames Tiddlers.
My little boy has been attending Thames Tiddlers Nursery since he was 8 months old. He has the best time and loves going. The staff are very friendly and very professional. My little boy always comes home with plenty to tell me about his day and everything he has done. I am so happy with how my son has progressed since starting. I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else. Staff will always find the time where possible to inform you of everything they think you should need to know. My son's speech is amazing for his age and is very sociable. I believe the staff play a huge part in this and cannot thank them enough for what they do.
