View Full Details of Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and PreschoolBoth our daughters have attended the nursery and absolutely love it. The staff in every room are caring, nurturing and so much fun. From baby room to pre-school they take so much time to make sure the children are settled and happy - the garden is excellent and the staff always work hard to bring creativity and games into the day. We really recommend and feel very lucky to have found such a great place to look after the children when they are small.
When we moved to Surbiton last year, my 2.5-year-old started and we love it so much that my baby started this year. We are so happy with the staff - they are very caring, nurturing and fun. My two (now in preschool room and baby room) have thrived and are very happy here and we absolutely love the garden!
The staffing team at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool are fantastic. Every day they are welcoming, knowledgeable about my child's needs and curious about ways to help her develop. The range of activities they put on and the experiences they offer the young people in their care are superb. I particularly appreciate the time taken at the end of the day to chat about my daughter's progress. I can't praise the nursery highly enough and greatly appreciate how easy they have made my transition back to work for me and my daughter. Most importantly, she loves it there.
Our son has been attending Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool for just over a year, starting in the Baby Class, progressing to Toddler Class and now in the Nursery Class. He's very settled and happy, which speaks to the great care he receives. The staff are professional, caring and attentive, providing daily updates and regular progress reports via the app. The facilities are excellent, with a spacious dual-level garden and a welcoming indoor area. We've seen great improvements in his social and educational development. The staff encourage learning through play and support his language skills which has helped him pick up new words and build confidence. Overall, we're extremely happy with the care and support at Bright Horizons. It's been a wonderful experience for our son and we're grateful for the positive impact it's had on his development.
My daughter had a bit of a rocky start to life, due to acute reflux (she had several choking incidents) and my own poor health which meant she barely left the house in the first year of her life. She also had food aversions due to reflux and wouldn't tolerate anything except soup and had terrible separation anxiety. We were very hesitant about putting her in a nursery but chose Upper Brighton Road because I was immediately impressed by the staff on our first visit. Her key worker has gone above and beyond. She built trust with our daughter over the months so that she no longer cries at drop off and within a few months, my daughter is now eating a wide variety of textures and new tastes. I honestly never could have believed we would have such a big improvement which is a testament to her key worker's investment in helping my daughter overcome her early challenges. They also work with outside teams like her speech and language therapist to ensure everyone is on the same page. Cannot praise enough.
Wonderful nursery, staff and environment. Our daughter loves it and looks forward to going every day! Staff are helpful, attentive and kind. Lovely community spirit also and you really feel the warmth as soon as you walk in to drop off/collect every day. Highly recommend.
My older child was at this nursery from 1 year old to when he went to school. When thinking about nursery for our second child we didn’t want to immediately choose the same one as they are very different children and other nurseries had opened in the local area which are closer to our house. However, after viewing a number of local nurseries we did choose the same one and we are very glad we did. The outside space is amazing but the staff are also amazing. They really focus on the children, their well-being, learning and happiness. They really put the children at the heart of what they do. They create a welcoming, safe and fun environment with a huge amount of different daily activities for the children to take part in. I only have positive things to say about the nursery staff who we will be very sad to say goodbye to when the little one goes to school in 18 months time.
I went back to work last time when my baby was just seven months old. I was so nervous about returning to work, even for just two days a week and felt so guilty leaving the baby. The staff at Bright Horizons are so knowledgeable and experienced and so warm and welcoming that I was put at ease instantly. Since returning to work, I have never once worried or felt nervous about leaving my baby there. He is now nine months old and smiles every time he sees the red front door. The nursery plans many fun and engaging activities, way more than I could be doing at home! And my baby has become the most sociable, happy little boy. His crawling and motor skills have come on leaps and bounds since starting at Bright Horizons, and I am so grateful to the staff for nurturing such growth in him. When I take him to baby groups, and he is the first to crawl around and socialise with other babies, I always smile and say, “it’s because he goes to nursery!”.
We are very happy we chose this well-run nursery for our daughter. She has been there from 15 months to starting school this September. The staff who looked after her are kind, approachable and professional. They really care about the children. They did an excellent job in helping my daughter be ready for school and we are very grateful that she had such a positive experience. Also, the garden is fabulous. Cannot recommend enough!
As parents, we’re both delighted with Bright Horizons, Upper Brighton Rd - and more importantly so is our son, who is very happy attending, notable is the warmth and professionalism with which he is cared for by the staff in the baby room. Also, as I’m freelance and self employed, the option (staff rota permitting) for ad hoc extra childcare of a morning or afternoon is invaluable. Thank you to the manager and the team!
I cannot fault the fantastic team at Bright Horizons, Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool. Always positive, fun and have fantastic new activities for the children. Brilliant team, great leader.
Wonderful nursery. The staff are all really engaged and caring and individually know each child. My son has been there since he was 9 months old and can’t wait to get there every morning. The grounds are very big for an urban location too. Low staff turnover as well which is good. Highly recommend.
We are so happy with our choice of sending our little one to Bright Horizons' Surbiton Day Nursery. All the staff are highly prepared and professional, as well as lovely and dedicated. They are open to answering any questions and discussing any needs your family has. Our child needed physiotherapy support, and they were prepared to help with the exercises prescribed by the specialist. Having no siblings, we have seen how much our child has learnt and developed new skills in the months since attending this nursery. We get updates every day through apps and pictures. Our little one adores the staff and goes there with a smile on their face every morning. Highly recommend it.
Our two daughters both attended the nursery. We have been very happy with the overall experience. Garden is huge and well equipped, rooms are tidy and clean (before the children arrive), the app is updated regularly. Staff is lovely with us and with the children. Staff-parent events are organised throughout the year. Private parking is also very convenient for pickup and drop-off.
I honestly cannot fault this nursery. I recommend it to everyone I meet in the area. My son has been there for over a year and absolutely loves it; he runs in each morning. The staff are wonderful and very dedicated to every child’s development. The management truly cares for the children and their staff. There’s a large garden for them to play in, which is rare in this area, and the amazing chef gets the children involved with cooking and baking at times. We are moving from the area, and it pains me so much to leave; I’m tempted to drive an hour to get there!
I found Bright Horizons in February 2021, and after a year of parenting my first child in lockdown, I was very picky about who was going to look after our son. If I'm honest. I was drawn in by the glorious outdoor space and all of the learning by playing, but what has kept us feeling over the moon about Bright Horizons is the people. The staff care for and love our son so much; we can't imagine a more vibrant place for him to be.
Both of my children attend Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool and I could not be happier. The staff work tirelessly to provide a loving, fun, stimulating and varied environment for the children. They also make every effort to involve parents/guardians with daily updates and photos, regular parents' mornings and special events. It is a proper community with the children at the centre.
We are very happy with the standards and care of the nursery and staff. We had a tricky start with our daughter attending nursery but the staff helped in making her feel happy and relaxed, she now looks forward to going in each day which is great. We appreciate the updates throughout the day so we know what she is doing and how she is feeling.
Great experience with my toddler. The staff have been lovely, knowledgeable and overall, brilliant. The facilities are fantastic, and this is reflected in the variety of activities the children partake in. We have loved having our little one here!
Great team. Good communication. Our daughter seems very happy!
