My daughter did her nursery and into preschool now. She is very happy to go to school and enjoy with her friends & teachers. The staff here are very experienced and they will update everything on a daily basis too. She learnt her phonics as well and attends swimming lessons too.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. The teachers are so loving and caring and it shows. My child comes home speaking so positively of school. My child also has multiple food allergies and the lovely head of pre-prep has been outstanding with her support on this issue. The classes are safe from my daughter's allergens, she arranged for me to meet with the chef to go over all the dietary requirements. Absolutely brilliant. Teachers are so thorough with the handover at the end of the school day and have great communication through the parent portal.

We cannot recommend Long Close Nursery enough. The early years are a fantastic setting with dedicated staff who have provided a family and home away from home for my child. My son is a sensitive child, so we were concerned about how he would settle at Long Close. He has been nurtured and his confidence has grown. He has built strong relationships and friendships away from home which we thought would be a struggle. I am able to take any concerns to the staff who are always happy to help and support us. They are acutely aware of his strengths and weaknesses. I look forward to watching him flourish over the coming year! Thank you, Little Long Close.

My daughter started preschool at Long Close in October 2022 and is still in the early years at the point of this review. This, being her first experience of schooling, I am naturally nervous for her. But the teachers have been brilliant. They treated my daughter as if their own, with so much love, tenderness and care. My daughter has been progressing so far compared to when we first enrolled. From only drawing a small circle to being able to read at the age of four. She is strongly supported by Long Close teachers, in all areas of her development. Long Close has been going out of its way to prepare various activities for the students to try on and explore. As a parent, I highly appreciate how Long Close keeps parents informed of the child’s progress and daily activities. Parents are always well-informed. The Head of Early Years in Long Close is always ready to answer any kind of questions and definitely a passionate early years educator.

Very lovely nursery, kids are treated and looked after so well. So much attention given to them. Great day-to-day activities for them. Very supportive staff and I could not be happier sending my child there every morning.

We've had a wonderful experience with Long Close Nursery and highly recommend to parents. My son has been going there at the age of 3 and I couldn't asked for a better place like Long Close. Kids are always very happy and stimulated by many activities. The staff are not only well qualified but also compassionate, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. Their commitment and warmth every day to the children and parents is outstanding. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery.

When looking for a nursery for our son, Long Close Nursery immediately stood out due to its warm and friendly atmosphere. Initially, we were worried how our son would cope but the nursery staff were always friendly, would provide us regular updates and helped us, as much as our son, cope with the transition. While at the nursery, our son has engaged in a wide range of activities, from music, play, arts and crafts, storytelling to outdoor walks. It's always fun to get an update from our son about his day and also see the updates in the app which would contain videos and pictures of what the day covered. Overall, would highly recommend it, we were uncomfortable with sending our son to nursery but Long Close has been awesome in the support, education and nurturing, the staff and the team offer. Highly recommend it.

My son attends the reception at Long Close School (but started out in nursery) and all I can say is that it is truly exceptional. My son is thriving at the school and I believe that is all down to the teachers' care, dedication, the interaction and stimulating environment they create for the children. I feel each child is treated uniquely and their individual needs are catered for. There is also constant communication between staff and I - either in person or via email. I feel very reassured that my son is in good hands when I drop him off in the morning. I would highly recommend early years at Long Close School to anyone who is considering putting their child there.

Long Close has been one of the best decisions we made for our daughter. She enrolled at two and a half years of age and quickly settled in due to the welcoming, nurturing and caring nature of all staff members involved. As a mum, I was more emotional than my child leaving her for the first time. The tremendous support I received from the head of early years was something I’ll never forget. She happily answered all my questions. I received constant updates during that week which put me completely at ease. The staff have helped observe her strengths and weaknesses and have progressed her as and when required. We’ve had constant catch-ups and updates to anything that is needed. I am immensely grateful to all the staff in early years. My daughter loves all her teachers and speaks very highly of them. Thank you and carry on the fantastic work!

My son attends the nursery and he thoroughly enjoys it and has already learned so much. The teachers are very interactive and care for the children very well, we are happy at this nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter started nursery in September. I was very optimistic as she has never had the chance to explore or go to any groups as she's only 2 and has spent most of her life in lockdown! But I can say she has settled in extremely well. The staff are absolutely lovely, and ensure your child's well being. My daughter is always excited to go to school the moment she wakes up! Which shows me she's thoroughly enjoying her time there. I love watching what gets uploaded on Tapestry to see what they get up to and it's so lovely seeing how encouraging the staff members are which has definitely helped with her development in a matter of weeks and her speech. I would highly recommend longclose nursery as its important to have a solid foundation for a childs future.

Our son started preschool at Long Close in September, after being home since March due to the Covid restrictions. All our post lockdown anxiety about him restarting disappeared very quickly. The staff are warm, friendly and our son loves going in - he even asks to go in on the weekend which is testament to the hard work the staff have done to create a nurturing and loving environment. We are given regular updates as to the activities that our son does, and we have seen his confidence and enthusiasm for learning positively soar in a very short space of time! We are very happy with our decision in choosing Long Close and would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Having already sent my eldest daughter to Long Close Nursery in 2018, I happily sent my middle child to start the nursery in September of this year. What an amazing, fun-filled, vibrant setting it is. I cannot commend the staff highly enough for the way they have created a warm, welcoming and happy setting for Early Years. My daughter absolutely loves attending each and every day - she actually is so excited to go mainly because she has made wonderful relationships with the staff and the other children. Her social skills as well as her academic skills are developing at a rapid rate and the way that the nursery has fostered her sense of independence and co-operation is just amazing. It is lovely to see the activities that they get up to on Tapestry, reassuring me that the time spent in the nursery is valuable and well resourced. Their feedback as to how she is doing is well informed and gives me strategies to work on at home. Highly recommend Long Close Nursery and Pre-School!

Hi. My daughter has started the nursery this September. I was very concerned as she has not been to any other settings before Long Close Nursery but I am super glad to see how easily she has settled. I am in love with the super energy of the staff, they all are extremely helpful and full of affection. I just can't praise them enough. My daughter is very happy here especially the home corner. I would rate this energy-filled nursery a full A++. Thanks.

Responsible school with a caring teacher. Not active enough to transfer information when my child is at school. Advice - be active to communicate with parents about how their child is doing at school and their progress from the beginning to the end of term.

My son has joined Long Close nursery since September 2015 (full time). The nursery was recommended by a friend who also has a child attending the school. It has only been a term and I have already been very impressed with the genuine dedication shown by such a fabulous nursery team! The communication has been excellent: every day, I always look forward to reading detailed comments written by staff in my son's diary; At Parents' evening, I was also delighted to hear about the host of fantastic activities and opportunities offered to children and the progress made by my son, within just two months. A personalised folder kept for each individual child (which includes various pictures, notes, comments, anecdotes) is just another exceptional example of how much the staff knows about children's likes, dislikes, interests and temperaments! Speaking another foreign language at home, I have been thrilled to rapidly note how much English vocabulary my son has picked up from nursery! Just incredible! Finally, I cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful support and ongoing encouragement, which is very much needed at meal times, with my son! I highly recommend Long Close nursery. Just a brilliant place!

My daughter who is now going to start in year 2 started her academic life at long close nursery! It is a decision that as parents we are sure that it was a good one! Having had her attending this nursery it only made sense having our son go there too. Again a decision well taken! The classrooms are great fun to be in, the staff are extremely competent and really kind and supportive of the children! I highly recommend the nursery and the follow on to the school at Long Close as we get the feeling that our children are treated by the Headmaster and teachers as if they were their own children! The ethos and family feel in the whole school is second to none and I have not seen this environment anywhere else! It is a great nursery and as a parent of 2 children I highly recommend it to other parents! I take the opportunity to thank each member of staff for all their dedication and professionalism in taking care of our children!
