View Full Details of Good Manors Day Nursery Miller DriveAll the staff at good manors have made my son feel very welcome and have really helped him settle in to a new nursery as his previous one unexpectedly closed. He enjoys going to nursery and looks forward to all the activities they get up to throughout the day. The staff give regular updates on how he is doing which is very reassuring. We are very happy with good manors and would definitely recommend to other parents.
Our child has been attending the nursery for two years and has always had a positive experience. Our child enjoys going in and always seems to be doing a variety of activities. More recently there have been more opportunities for external visits to enhance the children's learning such as from the Vets, Owls and Zoo Lab. There are also regular opportunities for parents to spend time in nursery at special events such as Mother's Day Afternoon Tea, Father's Day Breakfast, Halloween 'Spooks and Sparkles' event etc which are lovely opportunities to see the children in the setting. We would definitely recommend the nursery to others.
The whole team at Miller Drive work exceptionally hard at supporting our little one and making us all feel like we have an extended family within the nursery. My daughter never has any concerns about going in the morning and is always excited to see all the staff. The amount of play activities seems endless and every day she comes home having learnt something new. I would 100% recommend Miller Drive to friends and family.
My eldest has just left Good Manors Miller Drive to go to school. She was there for 4 years and absolutely loved it. My youngest is still there and is also thriving. We completely trust the staff with our children to care for them and give them the support they require. They helped with potty training. Both children are less fussy with their food at nursery. They did something different each day/week for a carried experience. They try and get outside every day. I am always greeted with a smile and feel part of the nursery family. The only negatives are about the big company that owns them (Old Station). The nursery itself and the staff are amazing!
Staff are caring and friendly and can all give an update on my son's day, not just his key worker. Recent changes to staff were well communicated. The outdoor space is sufficient but not big, and they sometimes take the children on trips to the local park which is a big positive for me.
We love using Good Manors, our son enjoys every day. There are a wide range of activities and a good use of outdoor space. He also goes out on excursions. We're very happy with the food, it's healthy and varied and he seems to eat it all every day. He's made good friends there, including with the staff. All of whom are just so lovely.
My son thoroughly enjoys attending the nursery and enjoys playing with his friends. I cannot fault the staff and management team, the are all very pleasant and friendly. It's a shame with the ever-growing price increases this is not reflected in resources and learning for the children.
My little boy moved to Good Manors 6 months ago and he is so much happier here than in the old nursery. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and they allow the kids to play outside most of the days which are great for the kids and recently I realise they do more activities with the kids, often I saw different group of kids sitting together do different things which is great to see. I hope they can play more group games with the kids in the future like 'Simon Says' and 'Freeze Dance' games which are good to teach the kids listening concentration and the concept of rules. Overall, I'm very happy with the nursery.
My daughter has been going to Good Manors at Miller Drive for almost 6 months and she has settled in perfectly. I was extremely anxious about her starting nursery, especially with her being born premature. However I was put at ease instantly and I know I can call up whenever I want to, to check in on her. The team that looks after her is incredible. They are always prepared to adapt their day to meet my daughter’s schedule, and they always look like they genuinely care and enjoy looking after the children.
As first-time parents, we were really worried about finding the right childcare for our little boy. He has settled in so well without a single tear and we love to see what activities he gets up to in the day. Really pleased with the communication and his key worker is lovely. Everyone is lovely!
We have found our son's time at the nursery to be an enjoyable and positive experience. He has developed a lot since starting nursery and we are pleased with his progress. I have always found the staff to be friendly and approachable. We are always given a thorough handover and regular updates on the app. Our son loves going to the nursery and has built a good relationship with the staff.
Our first son attended Miller Drive over ten years ago. When we had our second son we knew that was where we wanted him to go. It's a very clean, caring, loving environment and he has the best fun! I love the mixture of a couple of days at home and three at nursery, I feel it gives him a good balance to interact with other adults and children and be able to do different activities and develop and develop the confidence away from home. He waves to every staff member when leaving. The food is very good and balanced. Highly recommend.
My baby boy always cries in entry to nursery but he has been going since 9 months old and has now almost been there a year. The nursery has been so accommodating in ensuring he settled quickly with no tears. They update us with memories and pictures on their app which we find reassuring while both me and his other mum are at work. They are thoughtful when it comes to Mother’s Day they created two mum cards and for Father's Day he did it for his grandad. All the staff are kind and caring and always go above and beyond. They have helped with all of his skills and even his sleep pattern has improved because of them. They do plenty of activities and have a lovely outside space which our son absolutely loves. He loves all the staff there. I would recommend this nursery to everyone. We can’t wait for our son to develop with them over the next few years.
Ok nursery, not as good as it was before their ‘take over’. Large staff turnover recently and lots of small changes. My child enjoys her time there and the new staff are nice but the place doesn’t have the same cheerful vibe any more. Prices have increased three or four times over the time we’ve been there (just over a year).
I love this nursery. We moved from London and the nursery we were at was exceptional but this is even better. The staff are wonderful and very supportive and responsive and both my children have excelled. I could not be happier
The nursery has a great reputation in the area. The staff are fantastic and it's such a shame that key people are leaving as they have really given that personal touch which is needed with families. The learning, activities and reports on the app are great. It is a shame that there are less social media photos and updates, specifically for the nursery now that it's under a larger company. The management team at the nursery are quick to respond to any questions. I've never had any safeguarding concerns. The main issue we have is that the menu, which has been in place for the last few months, has food on offer which is less suitable for the average 3/4-year-old. Our son eats a variety of food and is a good eater outside of nursery but has recently eaten barely any of his main meals. Whilst I understand that fees have to go up with the cost of living, the change to holiday reduction has been disappointing as it means that's a significant amount of money lost if you wish to spend any time away.
Our son started at Good Manners in October 2022. We have been very pleased with everything and the app works really well, although I wish it was updated before/on pick-up as sometimes it isn’t updated until later in the evening, although I understand this is difficult with so many children! We have also noticed how much he drinks when getting home and I’m not sure what the process is or how often a drink is offered but it’s just something we have picked up on. Overall we have been very happy and everyone is very friendly!
I love the feel of our nursery - all the staff are really friendly and the additional care taken of the children is fantastic. For example, a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea was organised with homemade biscuits and cakes. This was a really lovely thought for parents to enjoy (and the cakes were absolutely amazing thank you to the chef!) I really value the updates on the app and so would really like these to continue and be as detailed as possible.
Great nursery and amazing staff. Always helpful and supportive. Great activities, especially the Mother's Day afternoon tea. The nursery app is not great but besides this, it is a great nursery and our daughter is really happy.
My children have been going here since 2019, they have recently been bought so changed hands/name. It’s still new to know if this change is good or bad for the individual nursery. Time will tell! The manager has been fab running the nursery. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.
