View Full Details of Kings Burrow NurseryI have two children attending the nursery and my husband and I are very happy with the care that they receive. The staff are gentle and kind, showing genuine care for our children which is really important to us. Our children love going to nursery and settled very quickly. Our son talks fondly of his key worker and our daughter, although still young, definitely shows love for her key worker. Recently, the nursery has seen some improvements to their outdoor areas, making them tidier and very inviting for the children. I love hearing what my son has gotten up to at the end of the day. The new cook is brilliant and the meals are tasty but also nutritious - and of course our son eats things he would never eat at home! We also love that the nursery have been doing more trips recently, as well as events for parents - it's always great to meet other parents. We would recommend Kings Burrow to everyone if we could! Thank you.
Absolutely fabulous nursery. I feel like I'm dropping my child off to a safe secure family rather than a nursery! The staff are enthusiastic and encouraging. The setting is fun with plenty of outdoor space - including a forest garden, playground and even use of the school fields at times. Themed weeks keep the children entertained. Great meals with a seasonal changing menu. My child has thrived and grown in every way since joining King's Burrow thanks to their wonderful staff and the opportunities they offer.
We have had a very good experience with King's Burrow nursery so far, having enrolled our now 10 month old son around 6 weeks ago. The team are lovely and have given our child such a warm welcome. He seems to be thriving and is developing really well, learning new skills every day. The management team I really trust and the team in our son's room (the younger babies room!) have been lovely too. They are quick to call you and update you when inevitably your baby has a little tumble etc and keep you informed.
My three-year-old son has been going to King's Burrow since he was one. He is very shy going in every day and finds it difficult to leave us, but the staff are patient and help him overcome his fears. He has an amazing time when he is there and gets involved in the nature garden, dance classes, trips to the library, etc. His language developed quickly as did his number recognition and writing. All the staff are caring and friendly. I highly recommend King's Burrow Nursery.
My son has been attending Kings Burrow Nursery since February 2023. He came to this nursery hardly speaking and has left fully speaking. This nursery is outstanding and everyone is willing to help. Everyone I have come across who has worked or working here has always been extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help the little ones. My little boy enjoyed every moment spent here and to say we were worried about him starting 'big school' due to his speech, well that's now out of our minds. His development over the last month's thanks to this facility is amazing. So thank you.
Our 18-month-old son started a few months ago. I find the staff friendly, kind and very good with my son. The nature garden they have is very popular with the little ones. They have a good online log for messages, reports and photos of what your little one has done during the day. The nursery feels safe, and because it is within a gated school, it adds that extra security.
Our son spent one year at Kings Burrow between September 2021-22 as a pr-schooler. English is not our first language, and we felt his language skills were supported and largely enhanced during this year. We were also struggling with potty training at the time, and I must say the support we were given was incredible. They were patient, encouraging and also shared useful tips with us. Our son felt at home there. All nursery workers are friendly and welcoming, and we loved the large outside space. Allocated parking spaces are very convenient.
Our daughter has been so happy at Kings Burrow. The staff are incredibly kind, caring and approachable and know her really well. She has participated in so many different activities (messy/art activities being the favourite!), walks and outdoor play, and has always had a smile at pick up, chattering about her nursery friends. Having had our older children at a bigger, busier local nursery, we have really loved the warm family feel that Kings Burrow has and would recommend it without hesitation.
I have attended the nursery by invitation to interact with my son during nursery activities and get a feel of the structure and care given. I was impressed with what I saw and felt a great leave of comfort knowing that all the children were receiving a good quality of care and comfort. I was happy with the structure of learning/play, as well as the layout and set-up of the nursery itself. I'd also like to add, as a single father that doesn't get to see his son every day, the app provided, which includes daily reports and photos, is an absolute godsend. It helps me feel in the loop with his development and is extensive enough in its explanation of this. I can also see that same quality of care shining through the reports and explanations through the app. Overall, very happy.
I would highly rate Kings Burrow nursery to any potential parents looking for a nursery which has a positive, caring ethos. Although the outdoor space may be smaller than other local nurseries the nursery have been clever in providing different learning spaces in each such as its nature garden. Children are also able to access the school's main sports field at certain times of the day and weather permitting. The staff are brilliant in letting you know what learning activities they are completing with children and regularly update me on what my daughter has focused upon with her group and how I can support her further at home. They also provide supportive resources in their reception such as reading books. The staff are wonderful and treat my daughter with loving care and respect. They know her as an individual and provide her with bespoke learning opportunities having a second language. The management are really helpful and always looking to improve the nursery.
All of the team are friendly and caring towards both our children. Really allowed them to grow and become more confident in various ways. It was always a pleasure to come home and be told about the fun activities they got up to, along with what they had eaten that day and who they played with. Any issues promptly dealt with not that we came across many if at all any. Open to answering any question we have at any point. Very personable and although team members have changed over the past few months, there has not been a noticeable change in standards.
Our son loved his 3 years at Henry's Kindergarten. He made some lifelong friends there, learnt lots, developed and had lots of fun. The key workers are all amazing and really care for all the children. The management always answered queries and do what they can to adjust attendance patterns. I found the nursery really flexible and a great place for my son to attend. The outside space is fantastic and was a real key selling point for us as our son loves being outside, burning off lots of energy and exploring.
Staff turnover is high. The whole place is just run down and tired and that could be said for the remaining staff too. My child was there for about 18 months and I saw a steady decline over this period, so much so we decided to move schools. It's the best thing we ever did. Parents are scared to speak out unless they lose their place as there are few options locally.
My son is currently at Henry's and my daughter left a year ago. We couldn't be happier with the nursery. The staff are helpful, efficient and so kind and caring with all the children. I initially felt worried about leaving my daughter at nursery all day when I went back to work, but I can honestly say as soon as she started and I saw how well she was looked after at Henry's, I wasn't concerned at all. Henry's has some nice facilities with a lovely nature garden and outdoor space for each of the classes. They also are able to use the school playing field when it is not being used by the school- my daughter still talks about running around the huge field as one of her favourite things she did at nursery. We feel really lucky to have found such a lovely nursery for our children and can't recommend it highly enough.
It’s a wonderful group of staff who work so hard to make sure my son is happy and supported. They are really flexible for working parents and make sure my son has a brilliant day every time he attends. I’m really happy I chose Henry’s!
My son has been attending Henry's for almost a year. The staff have been fantastic, my son's development has vastly improved. His speech is coming on leaps and bounds and he is starting to become more receptive to trying new foods. The facilities are great, so much to do and explore. My husband and I feel that the nursery is the perfect setting for young children and if we were ever to choose a nursery again it would be Henry's.
Henry’s has been a perfect start for our son initially starting in Little Bears and now moving to Big Bears. He has thrived in their friendly setting. Staff are welcoming, kind and professional and dealt especially well with the recent challenges this past 18 months. We were recommended Henry’s by a number of other parents and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.
Due to lockdown, my 11-month-old has not had much time away from me. Henry’s have been great at reassuring me that she is ok as well as settling her in and caring for her. All of the staff are friendly and professional. They keep me updated throughout the day through their app. I could not recommend them more.
My daughter has been at Henry’s for the past 3 years. The staff have been absolutely amazing. They provide age-appropriate activities while also giving children the space and time to explore and learn for themselves. They provide regular updates and photos on what my daughter has been doing which is important to me and lovely to see in the day when I’m at work. The care and support that the staff show to the children is so natural and my daughter has the biggest smile when I drop her off every morning. The meals and snacks provided are healthy and varied and the team have been excellent at adapting the menu to suit my daughter’s needs. I have been so pleased with Henry’s and I will be sad when my daughter leaves in a few weeks time.
A lovely nursery, with extremely friendly and caring staff. The outside spaces are brilliant, and they are out playing in them all the time. Both my daughters go here, and neither of them has once cried on drop off, which is something unheard of and a testament of how much they love their time here. The staff show endless dedication, care and support for my daughters' wellbeing and development and create a lovely, fun and warm environment for the children. There have been some niggles over the pandemic, which is no surprise, but the key workers have done an amazing job keeping everyone happy.
