Overall, a fantastic nursery. My daughter has become so much more confident with her speech and has really enjoyed her mornings at the setting. They have a variety of play from garden play to messy play which my daughter has really enjoyed and to mention there is a real family feel to Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood.

Our son joined Hopscotch Pre-School in September 2024 - he has absolutely thrived. The staff in the Pre-School room are exceptional as are all the staff we have encountered throughout the setting. Our daughter is due to join the baby room from June 2025.

Our son started at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood in September and we have been so pleased with everything the nursery has had to offer! He absolutely loves going, the staff and management are amazing and everyone has been so welcoming and supportive! He loves the facilities inside and outside and we can't wait for him to have some more brilliant experiences in the outdoor facilities as the weather gets warmer! Communication is also excellent between nursery and home and they are always absolutely on it! We are so glad we made the choice to send him here!

Our son started at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood a year ago, and although he initially found it difficult to settle in, the staff were incredibly supportive and patient. They took the time to help us adjust, providing reassurance and care that made all the difference. He's now very happy there and loves all the activities, especially the messy play, which is both fun and great for his development. The nursery also has a lovely garden where the children can explore and play, a huge bonus. We're very happy with the level of care provided, from the wide range of activities to the healthy and nutritious food offered, and the warmth and kindness of the staff. Like many nurseries, there are frequent staff changes/new starters, but at Hopscotch, they do a fantastic job of keeping parents updated with everything. Their communication is excellent, and we always feel informed and reassured about our son's care. We're so grateful for the wonderful team at Hopscotch and highly recommend it to any parents.

Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood is a fantastic nursery. As first-time parents, we were concerned about leaving our little one with others and it has really made it pain-free. We find the staff really friendly and helpful, and they have a lot of patience for all our questions. Our little one really loves going, even though he is shy at times and we really appreciate all the updates.

The team at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood are absolutely fantastic. They're communicative, helpful, and positive, and go out of their way to provide the best possible experience for our daughter at nursery. We regularly receive detailed reports of our daughter's overall progress, and how she's developing. We also receive frequent updates throughout each individual day on how she's doing, and if there are ever issues, such as our daughter having a temperature, they're very quickly communicated. The nursery itself is also wonderful, with big spacious rooms, and lots for the babies to do and explore. We're always hearing about the different activities that they're getting up to. We couldn't ask for more!

My daughter initially struggled with the transition from home to nursery but the team at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood were very accommodating and supportive. Nursery is now a highlight of the week and she can't wait to get in!

Our daughter joined Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood in December 2024 and we've been thrilled with how she has settled in. All of the staff in the Babies and Waddler team have taken the time to get to know her and understand her needs. Our daughter is always so happy at drop off and pick up and has clearly already created really strong bonds with staff and her keyworker. After each week at nursery she is doing something new at home, it's amazing to see her development each week. We also love the regular updates on how she is doing from her keyworker. As a family, we highly recommend Hopscotch Portswood.

The staff at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood have made us feel welcome and supported after our first child joined them in October. It's a tough transition for the whole family but they've been very gentle and encouraged our little boy to become more confident and settled there. He now waves us off as we leave. They have a good routine and healthy menu, the new garden is great and they try to take the little ones out each day, weather permitting. Everyone is kind and takes the time to get to know the little ones and us.

We absolutely adore Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood and would recommend it to everyone. Our twins have been there 3-4 days a week since they were 9 months old they are now 21 months and they have absolutely thrived. My maternity leave was quite limited so I was anxious about having to leave them quite early, but they settled in with no trouble and we always feel so confident walking away in the morning. The baby rooms are so lovely, light and airy and the garden was a real selling point, huge and newly renovated to a high standard. Staff are excellent, incredibly caring and have built wonderful relationships with the girls. They notice immediately if anything is wrong and always keep you fully informed. They have also always helped me in with the girls in the morning as having two can be a bit of a handful. They couldn't be more attentive or reliable and I honestly couldn't thank them enough. If there is a space here, take it, you will not regret it.

I love the care and attention Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood gives to my daughter, I feel well updated on her care as well any special needs they address with my daughter. Her speech has come a long way since starting Hopscotch and I can see a difference in the way she plays and explores the world. My daughter adores all the staff and can see they all genuinely love to care for all the children. The facilities and activities they do with her are amazing and I have no complaints at all.

Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood has been a great experience for both my daughters. The nursery is bright and welcoming, with plenty of toys and a safe outdoor play area. The caregivers are friendly and attentive, and they genuinely seem to care about the children. Our little one has been at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood since he was 11 months old. It took him some time to settle in due to only going a couple of days a week and of course, getting lots of bugs initially. However, he has now settled in incredibly well. He is mostly happy at drop-off and seems to love his key worker, so much so that he sometimes wants to stay and play when he's being collected. He always comes home with new words. The garden was a big selling point for us, it's really big and lovely.

My little one has been going to nursery at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood for a few months now. After not leaving each other's side for almost 2 years the transition was difficult for us both. I was very reassured by all the staff and the three days of taster days helped. My child can still become emotional at the door but again all staff are brilliant in reassuring him, still months later. The communication is amazing from the staff with weekly updates, and monthly reviews about your child and just always happy to help with anything you may need. The activities they do, the garden space, really are amazing. The meals they provide are a great idea too, as it helped my child try different foods. The big struggle I always had was with fruit but now he loves it. My little one has come so far over the last 3/4 months and I couldn't be happier knowing we chose the right nursery from him. The staff at Hopscotch are amazing and dedicated to their job.

I have two children at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood (current ages 4 and 14 months) and it's been brilliant for them both. The staff care and make a real effort to meet the different needs of all the children. I'm particularly pleased with the level of activity and engagement for the pre-preschoolers, my son will be more than ready for school next September.

My daughter started at Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood when she was 13 months old. I visited a few nurseries and this one certainly stood out for me. The setting is well thought through and I could clearly visualise my daughter's journey through the rooms. The deputy manager offered a wonderful site visit and put me at ease. The warmth you get from the team is incredible. The smiles you are greeted with in the mornings to the attention the children receive are second to none. My daughter has progressed and developed in such a positive way in her 6 months here and I can't wait to see her continue to blossom. The team introduced her to activities I would never think to do with her and she has an opportunity to create friendships and build on invaluable social skills. The garden for the older kids is fantastic. Plus they have an onsite chef who prepares wholesome meals. It's the small things that really make them stand out and the extra mile the team go every day that really makes the difference! Thank you all.

My daughter has been going to Hopscotch Day Nursery Portswood for almost 1.5 months and my husband and I are very impressed so far. She's fed nutritious meals and snacks. The app is amazing, which gives us updates daily on what she's eating, how much, when she's napping, when she's changed etc. It has really helped with our initial anxieties, as we're also able to message the staff directly. Everyone is friendly and our daughter seems to have a really good relationship with all members. She has really bonded with her key person and it's clear they have a special connection. There is a wide variety of activities that they get up to in a day with lots of sensory adventures too. I always know she's had a great day when her clothes are full of paint/she's had to have a change of clothes because she's really gotten involved in messy play. Although her clothes may be messy on pick up, she is never dirty or wet. I can tell she loves it, and there has been such a change in her since starting.

Highly recommend Portswood hopscotch. My little boy started here in September 2024, at age 3. He has additional needs and everyone is just so amazing with him, very supportive of his needs, both staff and children! Management has been phenomenal at getting the correct procedures in place for when he is due to start year R. I'll be sad to see him leave, he absolutely loves it there and has some amazing bonds with the staff which is very heartwarming for me.

We are so happy with the love, care, laughter and learning our son receives each day at nursery.
