View Full Details of St Hugh of Lincoln Nursery SchoolThis nursery has lack of management and unprofessional staff. My daughter, 2.5 yrs old, started nursery for the first time on 06/01/25. She attended four sessions (1.5 hours) and she got physical harm in two of them. First time happened from a staff member and second incident happened from another child (4 yrs old). My daughter was scratched very badly, she had injuries all over her face. They didn't call us when happened, never gave as a professional answer not even an apology for what happened to us. We been told (manager) that "nobody seen anything, nobody knows anything, we knew only when she started crying and her teacher took her to wash the blood in her face" which explains that my daughter has been neglected and not looked after in this nursery. My question is: where have you been when all this happened/to prevent it? Obviously not doing your job. When we booked a tour we had been told many times that we're the best. If what happened to my daughter is your best, can't even imagine what's your worst.
All my sons have attended this nursery. The staff are nurturing and caring. They provide lots of educational activities for the children and routines and structure to prepare them for school. There is free-flow play and the garden is accessible to the children always any weather. They have forest school in the playing fields of the primary school. Children also meet with the people in the nursing home next door. This gives the children a great opportunity to meet with older members of the community and play games and have new experiences. Staff are friendly and always available to answer any questions.
