View Full Details of Roslin NurseryA great nursery with a homely and personal feel. The staff are really kind and care for the children so well, they form strong bonds with the kids and really encourage them to thrive. A vibrant, creative space for children to grow.
The best nursery we could have chosen for our boy he has been there since March and the staff at the nursery do the most incredible job, especially in the times of settling your child in. We will continue to keep him here and hopefully, when we have another in the future use the facility too.
My two loved going to this nursery. The care given was always of high quality and the staff really care about the children. We chose it because of the homely feel and smaller classroom sizes. Always lots of toys to play with and activities for the children. They are introducing more initiatives to give parents more visibility of what goes on inside the nursery, which is good to see. Hopefully, the new manager will also introduce further opportunities for the parents to meet each other, like they used to do before the pandemic, as these were lovely.
Roslin is a wonderful nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. If you're looking for a nursery within Staines, Roslin is by far the best option. The staff are nurturing and caring and I'm happy knowing that my child is happy and being well looked after.
Lovely staff that care about the children and do lots of activities with them, both educational and fun. My daughter speaks very highly of her teachers and enjoys going to see her friends every day. We had to change her diet and Roslin was more than accommodating and reassuring me every day. Couldn't fault them.
Both of our children attended Roslin Nursery, and we are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance they received. The nursery's room conditions were always favourable, promoting accurate knowledge and practice for each age group. Their teachers played a crucial role in developing their motor skills, numerical knowledge, environmental awareness, and social abilities. We especially appreciated how keen the teachers were to encourage the children to participate in new activities. For our children, Roslin was a joyful, fun, and positive environment where they built beautiful friendships that continue to this day.
Can’t recommend Roslin Nursery enough! Our son has had an amazing journey so far, the staff are caring, diligent and friendly and always there when you need them. It’s like a home away from home for our son and he couldn’t be happier.
Due to logistics we had to change nurseries when our son was just over 3 years old. Him being very emotional and shy amongst new people we were nervous how the transition would go and we could not have been happier and surprised how well it all went and keeps on going. There’s not a day that he doesn’t want to go to the nursery and always runs in without looking back! He’s extremely happy in there and developing really well.
Our daughter has been at Roslin since she was 11 months old and will be starting school this September. She has always loved attending, and in the last year I have been really impressed with how much she has learned, she can confidently write her name and identify numbers and letters. She’s also learning about lots of other things and enjoys sharing new facts at home with us. The staff are kind and supportive and there is consistency of care. We’ve been really happy with our time at the nursery.
My son started at Roslin Nursery a couple of months ago and after the initial anxiety of settling in, he has progressed massively. I can’t thank the Buttercups team enough for being reassuring to us both throughout and providing excellent communication. I love the intimate feel of the nursery and I love my son’s smile going in now - he can’t get out of my arms quick enough! He’s bonded with all the staff and has a particularly great relationship with his key worker. It also looks like he has so much fun during his time here and is working on lots of skills. I’m so glad I found this nursery!
I’ve had children attending Roslin since 2018 and it's amazing. Care has stayed consistent throughout the years. My little girl absolutely loves going to the nursery and is always so happy to see the staff and take part in the fantastic activities the days are filled with.
I can’t say enough how fantastic Roslin is my daughter started in Buttercups as a baby and is now in Daisies. She has made lovely bonds with the other children and staff and come on leaps and bounds with her creativity, speech and development. The best part of my day is collecting my child and seeing what little creations she has made at nursery and hearing what she has been up to. Roslin is a home-from-home, perfect for a little one to start their journey for independence in life. I can’t thank Daisies and Buttercups and all the staff enough. My child is having the best time there and we know her little brother will have the best time there when he is ready too!
My son joined Roslin in August 2022 after attending 2 prior nurseries. The last move was due to a lack of speech development and safeguarding issues. Since joining Roslin, his speech has seen a dramatic change. He has gone from being constantly upset at drop off and mute to someone who is running in and a chatterbox. He is very happy! The staff are engaging and give informative updates at pick up. If he is sick, we work together to decide if he needs to be picked up. There have been a few staff changes recently but the care is still excellent. Management give regular updates which are informative. To me this nursery feels like family/home, which is why I recommend to others as others did for me.
We had an excellent time at this nursery. My daughter started this nursery at the age of nine months. As a doctor and working long hours during the Pandemic, nursery staff and management were a second home for my daughter. She had a lovely time in all rooms, very well looked after by everyone. The nursery and toddlers' staffs are amazingly pleasant and helpful with everything. Staff helped us with Potty training, linguistics, and building up social skills. Highly recommend it to everyone.
I've had two children in Roslin, and my youngest is now in her last year. She went through the three different rooms, and in each of the rooms, they have wonderful, welcoming and friendly - staff who make sure that all children are happy and settled. When my daughter went through a tricky phase, it was communicated well with me, and the staff did everything they could to make her (and us) feel at ease. You can feel that they genuinely care for the children, not only the staff in the rooms but also the manager, who is very forthcoming and has a good relationship with the parents. The staff plan a lot of activities, giving them space to be creative. Arts and crafts are often linked to a seasonal topic, which is lovely. They read a lot of books, which my children love talking about. They make sure that the children play outside and also try their best to get them to eat their fruit and veg, which I am very grateful for. I can highly recommend this nursery, and we are going to be very sad when my youngest leaves.
I would highly recommend Roslin Nursery for anyone considering a childcare provider. I’ve had 2 children attend Roslin Nursery and with my youngest I just knew that I wanted them to go to Roslin Nursery. Both of my children have been happy at Roslin Nursery and I know that they are safe and cared for when they are there. The Ladies genuinely care about the children and it has a family feel to it. You are always greeted with a smile in the morning and at pick up. As a parent the communication is great and you know what your children have been doing during the day. There is a wide range of activities planned for the children to support their growth and development. Both of my children have thrived at Roslin Nursery.
Our daughter has just finished her time in the baby room Buttercups and is moving up to the next room a happy, confident and clever girl! Her speech has developed amazingly, as has her confidence and we have no doubt that is due to the fantastic care she's received at Roslin Nursery. All the ladies in that room have been amazing at developing and caring for her and she has a wonderful bond with them all. Thank you so so much for taking such wonderful care of our daughter and for helping her development so much - we will miss you all so much!
Would highly recommend Roslin Nursery. The staff are so caring and it's such a positive and happy environment. We've had our 3 children going there for several years now. They've really thrived and loved going to the nursery every day. It's got a lovely feeling to it.
Our son attended Roslin for almost 3-years, and it has been a great experience for both him and us as parents. We have chosen Roslin because it had a family feeling to it, nice staff and good outdoor space and we were not disappointed. I have no hesitation in recommending Roslin Nursery to other parents.

This was down to the caring staff, the fun activities and the nursery's ability to develop independence and confidence. The food was tasty and the children were encouraged to try new things. World festivals and frequent theme changes meant the nursery was always trying something new. We were sad when we said goodbye to everyone.
