View Full Details of Young Sussex Nursery (Brighton)Our daughter absolutely flourished at Young Sussex Nursery and loved her time there. All of the staff are genuinely wonderful - helpful, kind and patient with the children, we felt they were both being looked after so brilliantly that we didn't worry at all about her when we dropped her off. Young Sussex is also a lovely space with the kids spending plenty of time outdoors and encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!
Both of my children attended Young Sussex. They both flourished there and think back on their time with fond memories. The staff are wonderful. Very nurturing and caring. Drop-offs can be tricky, and staff were always understanding and would call later to let me know my child had settled. There were lots of activities, story times and a nice garden to play in. But the main thing was that I felt like my children were being well looked after and were safe. In all our time there, there was one incident when my daughter had put a stone up her nose. The nursery called straightaway.
Our two boys joined Young Sussex Nursery aged 2 and 3. We had moved to the area and therefore had to transfer nursery. The team at Young Sussex gave us such piece of mind that our boys were looked after and invested in educationally, whilst we both were busy working parents. I like many things about the nursery. Highlights include the great space available, in and out, and the depth of resources the team can turn to physically to undertake educational sessions. The longevity of the management team and the staff in a competitive industry also speaks volumes. Young Sussex provided our family with a brilliant start and then confidence our children now have in all areas has supported a great start at school. This is an outstanding nursery environment in Brighton.
My son attended the Young Sussex Dyke Road site for the past 3 and a half years and has flourished. He has formed strong friendships and is developmentally doing very well and that is due to the care and support he has been given by all the staff at Young Sussex. I cannot recommend this nursery enough- my daughter attended the Hove site a few years ago and we were equally impressed.
Our daughter went to Young Sussex from the age of 11 months until she left to go to primary school this September. We cannot have asked for a better nursery for our daughter to develop, learn and make new friends. She is a quietly confident child, takes a while to get to know a situation and they really helped bring her out of her shell from the very beginning and at every transition to the next group. Every single member of staff has been a pleasure to speak to, they always have time for feedback on the day and if you have any questions. It's a very nurturing environment and it feels very organised and well run. They were really flexible as well if we ever needed extra days and the swap days for holidays were also really helpful. I would recommend this nursery to anyone, and have no doubt your child will be well cared for and settle in in no time at all. We will miss it very much!
So far we are very satisfied with the experience and the way our child learns at this wonderful nursery! We hope it will continue to be as beautiful and good! My daughter is very happy here! Do not hesitate to bring your children to this "big family".
My daughter has had a fantastic time at Young Sussex since starting at the beginning of the year. The range of activities provided has not only brought her joy but has supported her development and I've seen her thrive in this environment. We are very happy with our choice of nursery and we can't wait to see what she gets up to next term!
Young Sussex Nursery is definitely matching its outstanding rating. Our daughter attended from 8 months and the nursery has been flexible and great at meeting her needs when the start was a bit tricky. Now she is settled, she quite literally runs in regardless of which member of staff is there to welcome her. The staff members are great with communication on a daily basis and when accidents happen it is always dealt with in a caring and safe manner. The activities they offer the children are varied and always spot on. I have never tasted their hot lunches myself but the menu is always exciting! We are using their term time-only option and even in this setting, it is easy to swap days around when necessary.
Young Sussex has been marvellous for my daughter and previously my son! They are lovely professional people with attention to detail, nothing is too much trouble, they have good communication systems in place, and strive to improve if needed, highly recommended for great child care and learning.
Young Sussex is a fantastic nursery and I never fail to recommend it to new parents locally. The environment is so nurturing for children and parents! My son has had a wonderful start there. The staff are absolutely brilliant, I'm really happy with the space and the range of activities offered to children.
My son attended Young Sussex Nursery Brighton from January 2021 to September 2023. I could not be happier with his experience at Young Sussex and I am so glad I chose this nursery for him. The staff have been incredible throughout, so nurturing, kind and unwavering in their support for him and all of his needs. I have always felt heard and respected by the team and felt reassured leaving him in their capable hands. The food was always great and the kids spend a lot of time playing outdoors, which I love! My son always came home having had a fun day with lots to tell me about. He made some lovely friends at nursery and I believe all the staff contributed to boosting his confidence and allowing him to express himself and feel safe. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Thank you to everyone at Young Sussex for giving him an amazing start to early years life!
Young Sussex is a wonderful nursery. They took very good care of my child, which helped to develop her in many ways! The session timing helped me to get childcare that fit my schedule. Everyone was caring and sweet, so my daughter became very attached to everyone there. I would recommend this nursery without hesitation.
My daughter has been with the nursery for the last three months and is always happy for us to leave her and always looks like she is having a lovely time when we collect her. No complaints! Staff are lovely and informative and give you a run down of the day.
My daughter has been going to Young Sussex Nursery Brighton for the last 3 months. Being my first child, I wasn't sure what to expect, but my experience and my daughter's experience has been nothing but positive. All the staff are lovely, and I am always greeted with a big smile at pick up time. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Our daughter has been attending for a couple of months now and she seems to really love it! She stomps in every morning, barely looks back at me (I'm lucky if I get a wave), and seems to have a fantastic time. She settled in very quickly and seems to enjoy it. I've been particularly impressed with the team's effort at trying to work out her cloth nappies. We had a few weeks of a lot of leaks until I changed the type of cloth nappy I send her in, and the team were so patient with us. They must have had lots of extra work with her, changing her trousers multiple times a day, but they didn't complain and were happy to keep trying. I've also been impressed with the management/admin side of things, they are all very organised and efficient.
My son has been at Young Sussex Nursery for five weeks and he loves it. The staff all seem really attentive and make time at the end of the day to really chat to you about his day. We get regular updates throughout the day on the app and I'm always impressed with the activities they get up to, everything from crafts to cookery. We are so glad that we chose Young Sussex Nursery.
After eight years and two children at Young Sussex, I could not recommend Young Sussex highly enough. My girls flourished there, and I am sad we are now at the end of an era. The staff have been lovely over the years and provided great support during the pandemic when my child needed a place to be while we worked for the NHS.
Our daughter started with Young Sussex just before her first birthday and continued until starting school in September 2022. The whole time we have had a positive and happy experience, even though the uncertainty of the pandemic. The staff were always great, and our daughter was always happy to go in and had a great time, and we always felt she was in a safe, secure environment. I would recommend Young Sussex to anyone and am planning to send my son there once I return to work.
Young Sussex has such an amazing team of staff that were incredibly caring and supportive to us as a family and our little boy. Always greeted with big smiles. Our son was clearly content in Tiger Cubs - and with his ongoing health issues to navigate, we felt very supported by the team, which brought great comfort to me as Mum, knowing he was in safe hands. The range of activities that they would put on for the children was so refreshing, especially as they would cover current social events and help the kids learn more about the environment they lived in, being inclusive of all walks of life. We were very sad to leave (due to moving) but were very happy in the knowledge that our son had one of the best starts in life in the nursery with the help of Young Sussex. I could not recommend them enough - they are fantastic!
Where do I start... no words are enough. I will forever be grateful for all that Young Sussex has supported our family with over the last three years, from the pandemic through to open heart surgery! Not to mention the ongoing daily support with his stammer, food allergies and sore skin. Despite all of the above, my son is absolutely thriving, full of confidence and happiness. I have no doubt that he has had the best start to school life, and his future success has been shaped by his experiences during these early years at Young Sussex.
