View Full Details of Reflections Nursery & Forest SchoolMy daughter started at Reflections Nursery just after she turned 1 in the baby room, I went and visited a lot of nurseries and as soon I went to visit Reflections, I had such a warm feeling before even entering the building as the outside was just beautiful, whilst looking round I almost cried because the space is so lovely and I knew this is where I wanted her to be. The staff are so lovely and truly amazing and really dedicated to their jobs, they are amazing with my daughter who is nearly 19 months now and she is so so happy there, and has really blossomed since starting and I am so grateful I found such a perfect nursery for her!
My son has recently joined Reflections Nursery, with all the worries of leaving a baby to be cared for in a new place, I could not be happier with his journey so far. Everyone at Reflections are friendly, welcoming and caring. Everyone makes an effort to accommodate the children's needs with a smile on their faces. I'm so happy I have chosen them for my son. Thank you all so much.
Our overall experience with Reflections has been really positive, our youngest started with them when he was 6 months old, he is now 3 and our youngest started when he was 9 months and has settled in really nicely. The staff are incredibly kind and caring and take the time to reassure you and update you which is so helpful, especially in the early days when the children are settling in. It feels like they really take time to get to know children and work hard to make their experience really positive, being really considerate around transitions especially. The kids have a lot of outdoor time which was really important for us. Overall feels like a really nice community and that they really care which is just so important when it comes to your children being looked after.
We absolutely love reflections. My two boys are there and they have the best days. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and they keep them busy all day. The nursery is beautiful and the food menu always sounds amazing. Both of my boys are always happy when they go and come home from nursery and my eldest loves to tell me about his day! We wouldn't send our children anywhere else and would recommend them to anyone.
Our eldest was at reflections until September this year (from age 1 until just under 5) and he loved it. Our youngest is currently 18 months and we are excited for him to have similar experiences that his brother had. The time spent outside is invaluable. The inside spaces are calm and allow for children to explore naturally and with gentle prompts. Another huge plus for us is that the food is all cooked from scratch with the children's tastes taken into account, whilst pushing them to try things they might not have encountered before. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and genuinely care about all of the small humans in their care!
I have two children at Reflections and only have good things to say. The pre-walkers room is lovely, the team there worked wonders with my child who was a very reluctant nursery starter. The Redwood preschool space is great and my child has the best time doing beach school on one day, forest school the next, and then a day in Redwood. It's ideal for their age and they always come home full of stories of fun things they did that day. Special shout out to the two members of staff who run the beach and forest school too, I can't imagine doing campfires with a group of kids but they do it brilliantly and provide really good feedback too.
What a fantastic nursery doing lots of different activities keeping the children engaged. My child has a lot of allergies which the nursery deals with amazingly and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are really friendly and great with the children. My daughter also went here and could not fault the care that has been given to my children.
Our daughter (almost 2 years old) absolutely loves Reflections. To the point where, when I ask her what she wants to do at any given time, she'll often tell me "nursery". She's been going since she was a little under 1 and clearly loves the staff, eats and sleeps well there, and is always excited to show me things when I go to pick her up. I do think the fact that the nursery is busier now is apparent in interactions with parents at pick-up and drop-off, the staff don't seem to have the same time or attention for handover interactions as they did when we started. But I know my daughter is having a great time, and she's learning and growing great.
Our daughter has been at Reflections since the summer in their preschool class. She absolutely loves it, she is always super excited to go in and has made wonderful friends there. We are so impressed with the nursery workers who have brought our shy girl out of her shell. She does both forest school and beach school which she adores and we get wonderful pictures and videos daily. We will be sad when she leaves to go to school next year.
I have been using the nursery for the last 5 years. The staff care about the children and their learning so much. It feels like a family. The nursery is always willing to communicate and are proactive in finding ways to improve. The food always smells amazing and the children always come home happy.
My son has been at Reflections for almost one year. The growth I have noticed with him is absolutely amazing! The staff are brilliant and nothing is ever too much trouble. The facilities at Reflections are great and there is plenty for kids to do each day. The beach trips are a highlight for my child as well as time to play in the garden, come rain or shine! I have already recommended the nursery to several parents who have decided to also send their child here following my recommendations.
Our Son has been enrolled at Reflections since September and has flourished since joining. We feel safe and confident with the care he is receiving and his learning has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are wonderful and build a great rapport with the parents, the children equally trust and have great relationships with the staff members. Couldn't recommend Reflections anymore!
Reflections is such a wonderful setting. From the moment we viewed it we felt so welcomed and excited by the space and environment they offer for children. The management team has been amazing and are always on hand to answer any questions. Our daughter has certain dietary requirements and they have accommodated for this so well. My daughter loves her time at Reflections and has settled in so well, she is so confident and her speech is coming on in leaps and bounds. She does a wide variety of activities throughout the day to support her development, and the daily updates and pictures make my day. I am quite an anxious mum and the office and management staff always make time to chat with me and to reassure me. I am so glad we found such a lovely welcoming nursery to send our daughter to.
If you are looking for a nursery where children can be children (play outdoors, enjoy wildlife, mud, plants and exploration, where they can bake things, have messy fun, learn about themselves and what they can do with their bodies, learn to share with peers, show kindness and generally be free to follow their curiosity), then I believe this is the best nursery in the area. I have been sending my children to Reflections Nursy & Forest School for a long time (since 2017) and have enrolled to send my youngest (currently due our fifth baby in March) there come September 2024. I have seen many changes but their outlook, ethos and outstanding care for my kids has never wavered. Yes, if you want a nursery that leads them towards full-time education, with a more 'teaching' style, then this is probably not the one for you - but in my opinion, there is plenty of time for that, for now, let them play!
We moved to the area from another location in July 2023 which meant moving our daughter from her nursery there to Reflections. Everyone at the nursery was so accommodating of the transfer and setting period which made it all less stressful and for us to feel more at ease. After the settling period of a couple of months, our daughter now runs into the classrooms without looking back! Every day the children are doing a new activity; drawing, baking, reading, singing or playing with the toys. When we go to pick her up she loves showing us around the rooms to see what they have been doing! Her language and confidence have grown so much, I believe due to such a warm community approach from the management and staff. The staff are so welcoming and give thorough feedback at the end of each day. I am so thankful we chose Reflections as a place where our daughter spends her week, it is a joy to drop and pick her up!
My son has attended this nursery for nearly a year and he absolutely loves it! The staff are really caring and friendly and keep us informed of his daily activities. He also goes to forest school once a week which is his favourite day. He does loads of creative work, baking, outside play, building, role play, all sorts. Would definitely recommend it.
They are great! Organised, nice to the kids, lots of fun every day and lots of variety. We really like it and the kids do too. Always difficult at first but they pushed through and now love it. Always ok to park too which helps!
Our family couldn’t be happier with Reflections. It is everything you could hope for from a nursery. For example, the love and care shown towards our son by every member of staff is amazing. I feel they really know him. Educational experiences are exemplary. It is clear staff are responsive to children’s interests and know how to plan and deliver quality experiences that broaden learning. The rooms are large, light and airy, and always carefully laid out with an amazing array of exciting resources. My son loves the garden and laughs whenever we talk about it at home. We receive lovely messages throughout the day detailing what our son is doing. We greatly look forward to the evening post which shares photos of the day. The food always sounds delicious and my son devours it. Great, fresh ingredients and some new flavours for him to try.
My son, now 4, has been at Reflections since June 2023 (7 months) upon us moving into the area. He settled very quickly and seemed very happy going in every day. It's sometimes difficult to get him to leave, which is a very positive sign! The facilities are amazing, with a huge garden for the kids to explore. He loves forest school, and it's the highlight of his week. The range of educational activities that take place each and every day is something I never had as a kid and I love the joy that it brings to him when we ask him about it afterwards. Communication with Reflections has been amazing from day one and the staff are friendly, welcoming, supportive and well, just fantastic. The use of the app for daily updates on what the kids have been up to is the highlight of my day and the regular progress reports are also great. I honestly cannot find fault with Reflections and will be sending my 11-month-old in a couple of years as well.
I have both my children at Reflections and both children are thriving and learning each and every day they are there. The nursery supports in all ways possible, both at home and at nursery, and is always keeping close relationships with the parents and children. We had tried a different nursery previously and had a negative experience and was nowhere close to the standard that Reflections hold. I really could not recommend reflections enough!
