View Full Details of Woodstock Day NurseryAfter 7 years and two boys at wonderful Woodstock, I'm very sad to say goodbye. Fought back the tears while my youngest ran confidently out the building for the last time. I just want to say a big thank you to all there that loved and cared for my boys for the best part of a decade. I'll miss your calm faces at the door in the morning when either one of the boys or us was losing the morning rush. Special mention in dispatches the staff. You've all made such a difference in our boys formative years. We really couldn't have chosen a better second home for our boys to grow up in. Lots of love to you all.
I cannot praise Woodstock Nursery highly enough. Our 2-year-old has been attending for almost a year now. The staff are without a fault nurturing, kind and caring. They take the time to get to know the children personally and therefore build fantastic relationships whereby they can be a source of comfort if ever needed. As a first-time parent, I had the usual fears and worries about sending my daughter off to nursery when I returned to work. But the staff there supported her (and me!) with the transition so kindly and thoughtfully that it made it a lot easier. Without asking they would notice if it had been a difficult drop-off and would send me an update to let me know she was okay. As time has gone on, the learning and socialising opportunities are evident and our daughter is flourishing. She gets lots of outdoor time in the fabulous garden, a good variety of food, and also gets invited to extra events (summer garden tea party, Christmas party etc). Can't recommend enough!
Having been to Woodstock for 2.5 years they have become like family. We highly recommend Woodstock. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The nursery goes above and beyond offering help and advice when needed and really taking an interest in your child and home life. They offer so many great activities the drumming lessons, street dance & beach school have been a favourite for our daughter. Home-cooked meals and the huge garden have been a massive plus for us. I don't even know where to start with how amazing all the staff are! They made me feel so comfortable and at ease leaving my daughter with them. The managers are fantastic prompt at replies, understanding and flexible to your needs. The care is second to none and it shows so much because all the children look so happy and content. We are sad our nursery chapter is coming to an end but Woodstock have gone above and beyond to get our daughter ready for school. We couldn't thank them enough!
Fantastic nursery and staff, they are so caring and supportive. From the daily activities to the staff, balanced meals, to their outdoor space, everything is great. My child loves it, very happy parent and toddler!
Woodstock has been a part of our family life for the last 7 years. They are frankly fantastic. I am a very anxious mum and I have always felt secure in the knowledge that this team will take great care of my precious boys. One of the best things for me is the consistency of the staff. Most have been there for years, so come with so much knowledge. They are kind, funny, nurturing and genuine. There's home-cooked food, park trips, beach visits, street dance, fantastic art teachers, a huge garden with climbing trees and a large sandpit. This isn't just a nursery, it is a trusted part of the family. We are leaving this year as my youngest starts school and we will all miss this fantastic team of lovely people. They help to create happy, confident, kind little people. Do not hesitate to send your kids here. We don't just like them, we love them!
Very friendly staff, my son always loves coming here and loves the fact they get people to come into the nursery and do different activities like drumming etc. My son has been coming to this nursery for nearly 2 years and couldn't complain about anything. Updates all the time about their day and development updates too.
Both our children attended Woodstock and absolutely loved it there. They had so much fun with their friends and enjoyed the amazing range of artistic, musical, cooking and educational activities on offer. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and nurturing, forming strong bonds with the children. There is a large garden where the children can play outside in any weather, and we particularly loved the free-flow set-up that allows children from different age groups to mix and play together. Our children learnt so much from the nursery and were always happy to go. We're so grateful to all of the Woodstock team for their outstanding work!
Hi! My son has now been attending this nursery for nearly 2 years. I can't say how grateful I am for finding it. I always recommend it to friends and I couldn't have asked for something better for my son. Honestly, the journey my son has there is the reason why we won't move north, where I have family until my child will be of school age. The staff members are so amazing, honestly, I trust them with all my heart. I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you!
I have always felt our two daughters are in brilliant and safe hands at Woodstock. The staff are wonderful and caring giving lots of attention and helping children to learn through play and interaction. The setting is ideal with lots of free flow between ages and rooms and a large garden area. I rate and recommend Woodstock Day Nursery very highly.
We have been meeting my grandson from nursery for over 2 and a half years. He has loved the freedom of a large garden, the rooms and the staff. The main meals are cooked on site - and similar to his home foods - nutritious. I was given access from his parents to see the photographs of him at the nursery online which is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and staff will help with any problem. The staff were able to support him during Covid as his parents work in the NHS. Good practice and care throughout this time. Lots of online information.
My partner actually attended Nestledown back in the year the current manager opened in 1996. He was one of the first full timers! A whole 26 years ago - Sorry. 22 years later, I moved over from the Brighton area to be with him, and applied for a job at Woodstock, not knowing he had any prior link until I signed the contract and his parents pointed out the Nestledown logo they remembered, the manager then confirmed she remembered him and his family well, and then I spent a year working with her before changing paths and then having our first baby in April 2020, at the beginning of the first lockdown. 6 months later, we needed a nursery. So him being a former Nestledown child and me being an ex-member of staff, it was a no-brainer that our babies would go to Woodstock and what a wonderful decision that was. Our son (February 2022) will also be starting there soon. We have experience from every angle and cannot praise them enough for their love, care and kindness over the years.
Very friendly staff, my son loves going there and doing all sorts of activities. Every kid can explore their likes individually or to join others. They run loads of events for families to socialise and get together. Plus they have an artist in house!
My son has been coming to Woodstock since he was 7 months old and he is now ready for school. We have loved Woodstock and it’s felt like leaving him with family that know him really well. The staff are wonderful and supportive, helping us navigate being first-time parents and even checking in regularly during lockdown to see how we were all doing. I’m going to miss the team so much in September.
My son loved the nursery. During the settling period, the staff made him so comfortable that I was relieved to put him there knowing that he is in good hands. The behaviour of the owner and the staff is so nice and responsive that we did not need to worry about anything. My son had a speech delay due to being bilingual but he coped very beautifully in the nursery and now he is so fluent. The good thing is that the managers end even the owner receive you while arriving and when leaving with the child, a very nice way to be interactive about child. So happy with service.
In the short time my foster son has been attending Woodstock Day Nursery he has been treated with the utmost care. The staff are all welcoming, patient, kind and nurturing coping with every challenge with a smile and are always happy to discuss any issues or worries. The garden is just fabulous and full of fun things to do. We shall miss nursery in September when it’s time to move on to school.
My 2 years old daughter just started the nursery, for the first time in September, and that was the best decision to start exactly with the Woodstock Day Nursery. Very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere, everything is settled for the kids, to enjoy, explore and develop. The staff is very supportive and very helpful. I was provided with all information. They are very supportive in terms of flexibility with the hours, for which I’m very glad and thankful! My daughter absolutely loves to go there, and her key worker is her best friend now. I’m very happy that we made the right choice, as the nursery is the first and quite important step in a child's development.
Our son was at a previous nursery before Woodstock and it was the best thing we have done. He is so happy there, always excited to go. The staff have been so very welcoming and really put us at ease in this transition for our son. The facilities and outdoor space are wonderful and they have everything he could need. The care is what you would want as a parent. A home from home. We are extremely happy with their services and feel lucky to have got him a position there. Thank you Woodstock.
Our grandson has special needs and they are very well cared for by the staff at Woodstock. He is flourishing. Excellent communication with us, all the staff know us and are very welcoming. We are thrilled we moved him here.
Our daughter has reached the point of ending her time at Woodstock in preparation for starting school. The most impressive and pivotal time there, as preparations for a new routine, the challenges of change and the unknown and new people have all been fully acknowledged, openly addressed and personally welcomed by all the staff. This has given our daughter the freedom, safety and skill - facilitated by Woodstock - to express her feelings, work through changes and build resilience and confidence in starting school. The Woodstock leavers play was moving, funny, inclusive of all the children and primarily positive in saying farewell. They ensured this has all been individual, child-led, family-supportive and without these skills and expertise, we'd feel ill-prepared indeed. Incredible groundwork we'll always remember, reflected in the happiness of our daughter in her new chapter.
- Overall lovely nursery with lovely staff. - Very flexible and always happy to help. - Our child has thrived at this nursery and will be sad to leave. - We are both very grateful for all the love, care and attention they have shown not just to our son but to all other children in their care. - So very grateful and happy to all the staff. Thank you.
