View Full Details of The Red House Day NurseryWhat an amazing nursery. Just wonderful staff, my daughter absolutely loves going here. Great communication from the management team with such quick responses to any queries. A delicious menu for the children to enjoy and fabulous care all round.
Can't see anything they are doing wrong. Impressed every time we drop off and pick up. Made adjustments to menu for my little one and helped settle him in really well. Great at answering all my questions and I really love the parent zone app. I'd love more pictures during the day but I dont think there will ever be enough pictures either!
Both of our children are currently attending The Red House; one in pre-school room and one in the baby room. We have had a brilliant experience ever since our first started in the baby room in 2023. Everyone is so friendly and it feels like a home-from-home, especially for my toddler who is thriving there. The kids are busy all day long with different activities encouraging fun and learning. I particularly love the app, getting updates on the kids days, what they've eaten, how they slept as well as photos of what they've been doing. The outside space is limited but they do utilise what they have with plenty of toys, climbing equipment etc. We always recommend Red House to other parents looking for a childcare setting.
My daughter started attending The Red House 5 months ago when she was nearly 9 months old, and she is thriving there. The staff are attentive and caring and always give a brief report when I pick her up, as well as updating the app regularly with pictures and information on how she ate and slept, all of which are really helpful. They do lots of activities that we wouldn't do at home and I think all of this has contributed to her continuing development.
I am very happy with The Red House Day Nursery. My child has dietary requirements due to allergies, and they have great processes to keep her safe. We are constantly updated with pictures and descriptions of her activities during the day, and given suggestions of how to support her learning through play, at home. The communication is great, the staff are very friendly and approachable - from the management team, to those newer to the nursery. The staff are happy to discuss anything, and I have found that they deal with typical toddler behaviours with professionalism and care. I would strongly recommend this nursery, and their staff. The fact that they have such brilliant people that have been there a long time, says it all.
Our two children, aged 3 and 2, began their experience at the Red House about five months ago. One of the main qualities I would like to highlight is that the staff is very cohesive, and there is a sense of stability among them that certainly benefits the environment experienced by the children. The management is very willing to discuss the children's integration and has offered us solid advice, openly listening to our needs. The activities are artistic, creative, social, and, of course, playful, with both individual and group activities. The teacher's feedback is sincere, and in a complex world like preschool education, I believe this is a significant achievement. My compliments to all the staff employed at the Red House.
I cannot fault this nursery, from looking around to see if I wanted my twins to go here, to them starting and me being very nervous and emotional, to the continued development. The staff are all so friendly, qualified and knowledgeable, my children run into nursery and I cannot get them to leave, for a place to have an impact on children like this when they only attend for 1 and a half days a week is incredible credit to the facilities and staff. The weekly updates we get with photos and development goals and achievements is really impressive. I feel so comfortable and happy with my children being here and couldn't recommend the place more! I am constantly filled with confidence that they have the children's best interest at heart with nutrients, outside time, daily activities and educational development. Red House Nursery feels like a big family and I feel like they love my children like I do and that's all you could hope for as a mother!
My daughter has been attending The Red House since she was a baby and now she is one of the older children in the pre-school room. I can honestly say that it is a home from home for her and the teachers have become like family. They have supported my daughter (and me) through grief, offering love, support and their specialist knowledge. The culture that the managers have created is amazing - you really get a sense that the team love their jobs and the children.
My son started at Red House Day Nursery in April 2023. We had concerns about his development but these were pushed aside by health professionals. Since he started at Red House, the staff have been amazing. They listened to our concerns and, they also agreed with our concerns and referred us for further support. We finally had our ASD diagnosis thanks to Red House. Since his diagnosis (and before his diagnosis), Red House have supported us as parents and my son as an individual. They have made reasonable adjustments for my son, and I can honestly say that leaving my son with the team at Red House leaves me with the peace of mind that every parent needs, knowing their child is being looked after and having their needs met. Despite being very nervous to send my son to nursery due to his delays, I can honestly say that Red House have exceeded all expectations. Thank you to Red House for everything. From the bottom of our hearts.
A lovely nursery where both my children have been/are very well cared for. Knowledgeable and caring staff who have made my children feel comfortable in their surroundings. The nursery prepared my daughter very well for starting school which made such a difference. They eat well and undertake activities we wouldn't do at home encouraging their learning and development.
What we like: Clear policies. Punctual Helpful Food choices What can be better: Outdoor area for children Our son has been here since 6 months of age till now where he leaves for the nursery to commence school formally. We have been quite happy with the care and provisions of The Red House Nursery.
A lovely nursery with amazing staff! They are kind, patient, knowledgeable and my child has bonded well with them. Would be nice to have some greener outside space, but what is there is lovely and the children go for walks around Burwell - the children also seem to love the outside space/toys there! Nutritional food is served, there is a good structure to the day and the learning activities the staff do with the children are really creative - things I wouldn’t think to do at home! Marked value for money as ‘satisfactory’ as I believe it to be on par with the average for nursery care.
We have two children at The Red House Day Nursery currently and our oldest child attended for six months before lockdown. It is the same familiar faces but quite different nowadays. We have regular updates via an app on our phones and I love seeing photos throughout the day. It’s so helpful to keep track of how long they have slept and see how well they eat at nursery. They do a great job with activities in a relatively small outside space. I believe both our children (aged 18 months and 3) have come on leaps and bounds since starting at Red House. Thank you to all the staff for being persistent with a very rocky start for both of them.
Both of my daughters attended the Red House from toddler room through to preschool, with my youngest finishing in August 2021. The staff at Red House were much loved by both of the children and by us, as parents! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Red House to anyone looking for a homely, friendly and caring environment for their children. My girls learnt so much during their time there and enjoyed it too!
Our son started at Red House in August 2021. We were very nervous at first leaving him for the first time as he had been with us 24/7 for two years. The staff did a great job of reassuring us. From his third day attending Red House he had totally settled in and found his feet, he couldn’t wait to run off and play when we got to the gate. I think that is a testimony to how friendly and welcoming all the staff are and it was a great relief for us to see how happy he was to be there. The staff give daily updates through the Learning Journal so you are able to see what activities they are up to. The staff always spend time at pick up explaining the day in detail. The staff pay special attention to everyone’s individual development and needs. We have noticed how much he has progressed and grown in confidence since being at Red House. Within the first month, his speech had come on leaps and bounds. He always comes home with a smile on his face really excited to share his fun-filled day with us.
Two of my children attended Red House and we all adored it. The staff go above and beyond for the children. It’s like a home away from home as the care is so good. When my youngest was going though separation anxiety, the staff dealt with it so well, it wasn’t long before she was running in! I felt so reassured knowing both my children were being so well cared for in a bright, happy, safe environment. I thought my children’s speech, eating and knowledge came on so well during their time there. I miss seeing the staff each day now my two are older. I would highly recommend this nursery.
Both my boys have attended Red House since they were 7 months old. I cannot recommend it enough. They have always received brilliant care and have loved going. I have always felt totally confident in the level of care they have received. The staff are kind, professional, compassionate and empathetic. My older son was just 4 when he started school, but his pre-school time at Red House meant that he found the transition easy. My younger son will start this year and I feel confident that he will also be ready. I really heartfelt gratitude to all the staff for all the care my boys have received.
Our son started Red House last year after my maternity leave and the experience from day one has been brilliant. The staff are all so lovely and caring. Each day they give you a little report of all the great activities they do and the great range and variety of food that is given. We really like the snapshot videos that are sent which really shows how happy he is and the fun he has. He goes in so happy and always comes out with a big smile on his face. Thank you to each and every one of you at Red House!
I cannot recommend Red House highly enough. The staff are friendly, warm and accommodating and have created a wonderfully welcoming environment where children are well cared for and supported at every stage. The bonds that form between the children and staff are evident and mutual, creating an atmosphere where children can thrive and parents can be reassured that their individual and varying needs are met. My daughter has had such a positive experience during her time at Red House and is so happy to be there. As a parent choosing a childcare provider, you can't hope for more than that.
Our first child has attended the Red House Day Nursery from 12 months and he absolutely loves it! It is clearly great for his development through speech and the new actions he shows us. We also love getting the daily updates on what he and his classmates have been up to!
